Blurb
When her brother tries to force her into a marriage with a detestable baron, Julianna Halstead flees the family estate she has helped manage since the death of her parents. But as she makes her escape late at night, Juliana’s carelessness nearly results in her being trampled by a galloping horse, and the steed’s handsome rider takes it upon himself to correct her right then and there.

Though having her bottom bared and soundly spanked on the side of the road leaves Juliana blushing crimson, the punishment arouses her intensely and her body’s helpless response cannot be hidden. To make matters worse, the gentleman over whose lap she was so firmly chastised turns out to be none other than Viscount Stonehurst, someone she has known since childhood.

When Stonehurst learns of Juliana’s predicament, he decides to make her his bride. She will be no ordinary wife, however. She will be something much more shameful. But even as she is leashed, collared, and put on display in a cage wearing only a tail, then brought out to be used in ways no proper lady should enjoy, will Juliana come to love her new life as the viscount’s pet?

Publisher’s Note: The Viscount’s Petis a stand-alone novel which shares the Regency-era setting of Wickedly Usedand His Innocent Bride. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Excerpt
The horse and rider appeared from nowhere.
Julianna sidestepped and dropped her bag. Her ankle twisted beneath her, and she tumbled to the ground. When the horseman tugged hard at the reins, the coal-black stallion reared, its forelegs pawed the air. She screamed and closed her eyes. Curled into a ball, she waited for its ebony hooves to pulverize her.
The rider swore, the horse whickering as it planted its feet in the dirt by her face. Tiny dust clouds rose from the road. She coughed and crablike, she scuttled to the fallen oak at the edge of the copse. The bracken smelled earthy, and the thick foliage cushioned her bruised ribs.
Her heart beat overtime when the horseman dismounted and stalked toward her. Wearing a black greatcoat and muffler, he towered over her. Grabbing her wrist, he hauled her upright.
Even in the evening twilight, his hair shone the same blue-black as a raven’s wing. His features were familiar, but she had no idea why. One glance at his steeply angled eyebrows and she wondered if he was the devil come to claim her.
Her brother would have grabbed her shoulders and shaken her until her head ached. That or hurled vile insults at her. Instead, the dark horseman’s eyes twinkled with good humor. She couldn’t decide if they were midnight blue or ebony black. Their mysterious depths and sloping eyebrows gave him a demonic air.
His high cheekbones were so sharp Michelangelo could have chiseled them from marble. There was a cleft in his square chin that she wanted to stroke. His broad, kissable lips made her want to lick and taste, but they were set in a stern, disapproving frown. If he smiled, his dark charisma would mesmerize any nocturnal creatures. Bats, foxes, and badgers would flock to his side.
His utter masculinity sent shudders along her spine. Devilish and terrifying, he emanated menace and danger. She should be shaking in fear, but he sparked wicked longings in her soul.
Untouched and innocent, she hated how her nipples pearled and damp heat creamed between her legs. She needed his lips pressed against hers and his hands on her body. For a woman who’d sworn never to marry, that scared her more than his fury. If not for his tight grip on her shoulders, she’d have run off into the night.
Her pulse still raced, but she buried her fear beneath a haughty manner. “Unhand me, sir. I’m late as it is.”
Rather than let go of her arm, he tugged her closer. He smelled of citrus fruits and freshly gathered mint. When her gaze meshed with his, lightning bolts sizzled between them. Head bent, he moved toward herShepuckered her lips in anticipation.
Blinking, he straightened abruptly. “I could have killed you, you little fool.”
Disappointment crushed her soul. Her ribs ached from Kit’s assault and her ankle throbbed from her fall. Sniffing back tears, she thought of her mother’s pampered cat and tried to out-stare him. “My apologies, sir. I should have been paying attention, not daydreaming along in the twilight. Since neither of us is hurt, we can go on our own ways.”
“Not until you’ve learned your lesson,” he snapped.
Pulling free from his hold, she rubbed her wrist. Nervous, she retreated toward her portmanteau, ready to grab it and run. Shooting forward, he hoisted her over his shoulder. The undignified position made her ribs throb. His hand splayed over her rear end, caressing and stroking it as he pinned her in place.
Five steps and he’d carried her back to the tree trunk. Once settled on it, he thrust her over his knee. “Naughty little girls who risk their lives deserve a spanking. And I’m just the man to give it to you.”

Does writing energize or exhaust you?
Definitely energize. I get bad tempered if I don’t do something to inch my writing forward every day.

 Ballpoint or fountain pen?
Ball point. I write in a notebook, type up, then read it through before moving on to the next chapter.

What time of the day is best for you as a writer?
Anywhere, anytime. If I have a free moment I put pen to paper. A lot of my early writing was done on the bus on the way and from work.

Which book – of all the books you’ve written – do you like the best?
Always the one I’m working on. I’m proud of Taken as Theirs because it was my first book to hit the top ten on it’s category. I love regency romance, and I love my latest very hot Regency romance. Georgette Heyer would be turning in her grave.

Libby Campbell

When Hannah goes to the wedding as someone’s date,
she doesn’t expect to leave with the groom.

Blurb:
Hannah Hansen is only hoping for one thing this Christmas: someone to share her life. She’s not asking for the hottest male model, but please Santa, could he be a little bit alpha? Sensitive new age guys make great friends, but men who are decisive and slightly bossy make her tingle all over.
Then handsome, rich Steve Shewchuk invites her to be his last-minute, plus one at a wedding. Hannah’s hopes soar as Steve’s definitely the dominant type. But before their date is off the ground, Hannah realizes she has made a mistake. Steve’s veneer of an appealing alpha personality hides his thoughtless self-absorption. In response to a call from the distressed bride-to-be, he drops Hannah a block from the church, forcing her to walk through a driving rainstorm alone.
Hannah arrives at the church, soaked to the skin, with her expensive hairdo ruined. She realizes her hopes for a future with Steve have washed down the drain along with her mascara.  When the groom, charming Charles DescĂ´teaux helps her in her moment of distress, there is an instant, electrical connection between them.
Could Charles be the assertive man she’s been hoping for? When Charles needs her help, will she be brave enough to rally to his side?

Excerpt :
After a long moment, Steve broke the silence. “Abby’s a bit high strung. When she called me, she was almost beside herself with worry. She needs a friend to help her calm down. And I know how to do that better than anyone.”
“That’s very nice of you,” Hannah said, as all other words failed her.
“Glad you approve.” Was that sarcasm in his voice? Was this going to be worst date Hannah had ever been on?
“Really she has no other friends who can help like you can?”
“No. She really doesn’t. I’m the only one who can turn her over his knee and paddle the anxiety out of her system, which is what she needs right now.” He spoke matter-of-factly, as if he was saying Abby preferred white wine over red.
At those words, Hannah’s body spun into warfare with her brain. Her head told her that Steve had shared the most shocking, inappropriate fact she’d ever heard from someone, let alone someone who barely knew her.
But her body lit up with delight. Her pulse pounded in her ears as heat washed up her neck. As her pussy clenched, she was grateful that her arousal wasn’t as visible as a man’s would have been.
Then an unexpected stab of anger froze her. How dare he tell her such an intimate fact! If anything happened between the two of them that night or any other time, would he mention it in casual conversation to the next woman who sat in his car?
She told herself he was stressed. After all he was losing a girlfriend who was, by anyone’s standards, a great prize: beautiful, rich, and well connected. That had to hurt. So she decided to forgive him, knowing that after tonight Abby would no longer get that special tension-relieving treatment from him.
Hannah had fantasized for a very long time about having a boyfriend who would occasionally take her in hand, warm her bottom until it turned bright red, and then tenderly comfort her after. When she’d suggested it to Dustin, he’d looked at her with open disgust and more than a little pity, as though she’d told him she had a terminal disease. She acted like she’d been kidding and never spoke her desire out loud again.
The itch didn’t go away though. The notion of mixing pleasure and pain continued to appeal to her, and she gave up trying to understand why. If Steve was willing to satisfy her long-held fantasy, she could forgive a lot of other faults.
First, she had to get through the evening. Once Abigail was off on her honeymoon with the handsome Dr. DescĂ´teaux, maybe Steve would be able to look her way with greater interest.
Shape up she told herself. Get through tonight with enough grace and good humor that Steve can’t wait to see you again. The only one way to do that, she decided, was to charm everyone she met, as though she was on a high-priority diplomatic mission.

Libby Campbell in her own words:
My romance novels feature strong, self-reliant women and the powerful men who love them. Romantic by nature, I write the stories I want to read: those that feature a spicy power exchange and deliver a sting in the tale.
Canadian by birth, I also lived in Australia for a couple of decades. While living there I overcame my aversion to saucer-sized spiders and, as a condition of marriage to my Aussie Prince Charming, I swore a lifelong allegiance to the Melbourne Football Club.
Then family called and my husband and I packed up and moved. We now live on a rocky island on Canada’s West Coast, close to beaches that once were frequented by smugglers and rumrunners.
My passions are reading and writing. I adore all animals and love hiking, beachcombing, and an occasional night of dancing.

Blurb:

I’m obsessed with a woman who’s nothing but trouble.

She’s feisty and tempting.
And she doesn’t let anything come in the way of her mission.
I’ve dealt with my fair share of rule-breakers.
So, Delilah isn’t what I need.
But I can’t stop dreaming about having her in my arms.
She might be hiding a secret.
A secret that could destroy me and burn the city to the ground.

There’s only one question that remains.
Is she worth the destruction that she’s about to cause?

Excerpt:

“So, you don’t want dessert, sir?” Delilah’s voice had taken on that soft purr again, and his cock stirred reflexively at the tone.
Dalton leaned toward her. “Oh, I want dessert,” he assured her in a low tone. “In fact, I predict we’ll both be enjoying a bloody big portion.”
Delilah’s eyes widened and she smiled. “Thank God,” she murmured. “I can’t wait.”
He grinned, rising from his chair while she grabbed her purse and shrug. Stepping around the table, she moved toward him.
“How far is to your place, sir?”
Dalton’s arm snaked around her middle, drawing Delilah toward him. “Not far, beautiful. Hold on, I’ll have you there in a few minutes.”
She flicked her bob back with a mischievous smile, and he led her wordlessly out of the Italian restaurant and in the direction of the elevators. The place was the usual thrum of activity for this time of the evening, and numerous people acknowledged him as they wandered past the throng.
“Hey, Dalton!”
He turned at the sound of his name to find Manuel striding toward them. “Hey, man,” Dalton answered, his brow arching at the way his old friend’s gaze so overtly fell over Delilah.
“I was going to ask if you were stopping by the club tonight, but…” Manuel paused, smiling at the pouting expression Delilah was offering him. “It looks like you’re already taken.”
Dalton laughed. “Manuel, this is my friend, Delilah.”
He glanced down at her expectant face, her thoughts confirming how eager she was to know who Manuel was. “And, Delle, this is Manuel.”
Manuel thrust out a large palm in her direction. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Delilah.”
His gaze rose to Dalton, his brow raising as his thoughts confirmed his curiosity. Who’s the hot little redhead, Dalton? You’ve obviously been playing this card very close to your chest.
Dalton bit back on a grin as he guided Delilah in the opposite direction. “Great to see you,” he called back over his shoulder. “Have a good night.”
“Yeah, you too,” Manuel replied. You lucky sod.
“Friend of yours?” Delilah whispered as they entered the elevator.
There was only one other couple at the far end and with a nod, Dalton steered Delilah away from them.
“Yes, he is,” Dalton confirmed.
He was about to illustrate his point by telling Delilah about Manuel’s position within the organization, but he stopped himself. He may really like the woman, but Dalton had to face facts. She wasn’t telling him the truth, so he needed to be careful with the information he made available. Dalton gazed down at Delilah. She was glancing over her shoulder at the other couple, her attention slowly returning to him.
“Are you okay?”
“More than,” she answered with a lascivious grin. “This is the part of the night I’ve been looking forward to the most.”
Dalton smirked. “I noticed,” he murmured. “You’ve been making those bedroom eyes at me all night.”
Delilah nibbled her lower lip, pressing herself up against him. “Guilty, sir,” she said softly. “What’s my punishment?”
His eyes widened at her provocative display, and at that moment, the elevator came to a pause, the chiming bell drawing both of their focus temporarily back to the sliding doors. Dalton pulled Delilah against him while the other couple left, his arm reaching to instruct the elevator to the floor they needed.
“I’m glad you asked,” he brooded, ensuring he had her full attention as the doors slid closed once more. Slowly, he spun Delilah’s body around, pressing her against the cool mirrored interior. “Based on how much you enjoyed your introduction to BDSM yesterday, I thought we could play another game?”
Delilah gulped, her pupils dilating. “Are you trying to frighten me, sir?”
Dalton’s cock roused at her question. “No, Delilah.” His tone was low and even. “Would you like me to?”

Saturday Spanking - HELP!

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! I love having a place to come and give everyone just a taste of what’s in my books. Allie and Jenny are in serious trouble in this snippet from Searching for Home.
Jenny and Allie are being followed by the burglars who had already attacked them both. Caught on a one lane dirt road, they burst into a small run down house in the middle of a field, begging for help.

“Please!” Allie begged. “Lock the door, there are two men after us. They’ll kill us.”
The men were already pulling into the tiny yard. Jenny’s eyes darted around the little house, wondering if they should try to make it to one of the fields and hide there.
The woman, eyes narrowed, picked up a shotgun from a stand near the door and stepped onto the porch with it. The men were already exiting their car and heading toward the house.
“Git,” the old woman told them.
“We don’t want no trouble,” said one of the men, coming to a stop. He still held the foot long pipe he’d used to break Jenny’s window. “But them’s our women. We’re taken ‘em home.”
“I said, git!” the woman repeated and the men looked uncertainly at one another.
Jenny admired the woman’s guts, but was the gun even loaded? She let go of Allie long enough to head to the tiny kitchen. She saw a knife on the counter and grabbed it. Yanking open one of two drawers, she found another and took it back to Allie.
Allie reached for the knife, grasping it in her fist and holding it up near her shoulder, preparing to stab anyone who came near her.
“No,” Jenny hissed. “Hold it down low, so you can stab it up into their gut. Holding it that way, they can block you with their arm.”
Even in her state of panic, Allie looked at Jenny in confusion. How the hell many knife fights had Jenny been in?
