Saturday Spankings - Not looking for trouble, but finding it anyway.

Welcome to Saturday Spanking! Today’s snippet if from book four, Cassie’s River Living.  Cassie never tries to get herself in trouble, not intentionally, but trouble seems to seek her out. Cassie and Sue were exploring some houses being built near their neighborhood. They had been curious about a small room she found in one of the housed. But this time something had been added and they realized the purpose of the room. See, she was just curious, but Tom saw her exploration as trespassing and frequently told her to stop. He’s not going to be pleased.

The door to the room had been hung since my last exploration, and as I pulled it open, I could see something had been added. Sue and I helped each other down the makeshift stairs made of an overturned bucket and a cinderblock. Mystery revealed, it was a wine cellar! No wine unfortunately, but the racks were in and the ends were carved with luscious grape vine. The workmanship was incredible. I rubbed my hand over the beautiful carvings.

“Push the door open more,” I said to Sue. “I need more light, these are beautiful.”

Sue gave the door a shove and came over to join me when the hinges caught and firmly banged the door closed. At nearly the same instant, Willow, realizing she was alone, raced to the door and with her fifty pounds or more, hit the door with her front paws.

Sue and I were plunged into darkness. We hastily headed back to the door, which was stuck fast. We didn’t panic. We knew for sure it wasn’t locked, there wasn’t even a doorknob. In fact, the only tiny bit of light we were getting came from the hole where the doorknob would eventually go. However, the door was stuck and so, apparently, were we.

“Damn it, Cassie, get that mangy mutt to stop pounding on the door. She’s only making it worse, and push for pity’s sake!”

“What do you think I’m doing?” I asked as I put all my strength into unsticking the door. But that darn thing was not going to budge. Had we been level with the door, I think we could have forced it open, but only being able to shove on the bottom as we stood in the lower room, we had no luck at all.

“Cassie, I cannot believe you got us stuck in here.”

“Me? What did I do? You pushed the door too hard and it slammed. I didn’t do anything,” I stoutly maintained.

“You drug us in here,” Sue countered. “And then that stupid dog jumping on it caused the door to stick.”

“Willow it not stupid,” I snapped.

As with most of our arguments, this one ended with a glaring contest. At least I think it did. I was scowling, but I couldn’t see Sue’s face. I didn’t imagine she was smiling. After a few moments of silence, Sue finally ordered, “Would you just get on the phone and call somebody to get us out of here?”

I surely wanted to keep the boys out of this. Maybe I could get Kate or Allie. I reached for my phone when it hit me. “Oh dear…”

“What?” asked Sue, instantly alert. “You told me you had your phone.”

“I do.” I assured her. “It’s just that… well … umm… It’s in Willow’s backpack.”

“It’s where?”

“I put it in the backpack that I put on Willow. She likes to wear it, so I always put my phone, ID and a bottle of water in there.”

“The stupid dog has the phone?” Sue snapped.

“She’s not stupid!” I roared. “She likes carrying things and she always stays right with me. Don’t you call her stupid again.” Willow scratched on the door again to prove my point.

“Fine,” Sue nearly hissed. “The dog is brilliant. So why don’t you shout out there to old Lassie that she needs to get on the phone and let somebody know that Timmy fell in the damn well!”

Cassie and Tom are happily settling into River Living. Cassie hoped that this peaceful setting would be enough to keep her out of trouble. But how can she stay out of trouble with Sue living at the river too? Staying out of trouble proves just too difficult.

Cassie is happy that Tom and Ryan are growing so close, but she is concerned about what relationship advice Tom may be giving him. Overheard conversations and statements from Ryan have her worried. Is Tom sharing his thought on adult spanking with Ryan? It seems so and when Cassie realizes that Allie is hearing these thoughts too, she’s worried. Cassie realizes she is going to have to try to explain things more fully. Can Cassie explain this way of life to eighteen-year-old Allie?

Cassie’s Space series

These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.

Cal’s Law series

Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.

On the River series

In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!

These books do take you through time as it passes, but please don’t think you have to read them in order. Start anywhere. Just grab one and give it a try. If you are a spanking enthusiast, I know you'll enjoy it.

I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.

Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.

Saturday Spankings - Learning to listen.

Welcome to Saturday Spankings once again. My snippet today is from my fourth book, Cassie’s River Living. It was nearing Christmas and Cassie was extremely busy. Tom had been telling her to slow down, but Cassie wasn’t paying too much attention to him. But sadly for Cassie, Tom was very serious.

My morning should have been peaceful, but it wasn’t to be. Tom seemed to be in a lecture mode from the minute I opened my eyes. He and Steve were planning on golfing that day, but before he left, he seemed to have the need to tell me how I should act at brunch that morning and the tea I was attending that afternoon. Mostly he was telling me to stick to orange juice and tea, rather than Mimosas and wine. I was still in bed, trying to ignore all he was saying, in a loving manner, of course, but he was going on and on about how a lady should act and about not overtaxing myself. I felt the latter was a slam about my age, and I was just trying to tune him out.

He continued talking as he walked into the bathroom and I said very quietly, yet unfortunately aloud, into my pillow, “Kiss my ass.” Tom heard. He walked back into the room, and suddenly lecture mode was gone.

He grabbed his bedroom slipper and lit into me before I even realized he had heard. That darn slipper hurts. He was pretty mad and he did a thorough job before he stopped. He said, still not letting me up, “I don’t know what has gotten into you lately, but I am not going to put up with it. You are not to leave this house today for any reason. You may not call or text anyone except for me, and yes ma’am, I’ll check.”

I couldn’t stop myself from saying, “But I have a brunch and a tea today. They’re expecting me.”

Tom gave me another half dozen hard swats as he said, “Then perhaps your friends will be disappointed, just as I am. You need a day to get hold of yourself and your behavior or so help me Cassie, this will have just been a warm-up.” I was on fire, no way did I want that to be a warm-up.

Tom let me up and held me as I snubbed. I finally ventured, “I have to tell Sue something, she’s expecting me to go with her. You know she’ll come up here.”

“That won’t be a problem,” he said dryly, taking out his phone to call Sue.

“Don’t tell her you won’t let me, please. Just tell her I don’t feel well or something.” Sue knows I get spanked. She’s known for decades and she was present at my one and only public spanking all those years ago. In fact, Sue occasionally gets her rump roasted these days. But I still didn’t want to advertise the fact that I’d just been spanked and had been essentially grounded by my husband.

I had little hope he’d listen. Tom’s a stickler for the truth. But when Sue answered, I heard Tom say, “Sue, I’m afraid Cassie won’t be joining you today, she’s not feeling well.” I was slightly surprised that he was going along with my request when he went on, “She has a raging fever where she sits. I don’t want you coming up or talking with her today or I’ll see to it that it’s contagious.” Even though I was annoyed at him, I couldn’t help laughing in my head. Tom is so Tom and I do love him to death.

The danger and lies are more than she can handle.

Then she sees her two-timing ex, Trevor Madero, serenading the mostly female crowd at a live-music bar. God knows trouble follows him around, but her desire for him rushes back in anyway. After he rescues her from a handsy drunk, temptation takes over.

Determined to prove he never stepped out on Shea, Trevor slides back into her life—and her heart—with forever in mind. Even with the wall he keeps up to protect her, his secret criminal life weighs heavy on his soul and drives a wedge between them.

When the truth comes out and his enemies target them both, they’ll have to fight for their love, or kiss it goodbye.

Excerpt:

He rolled his stiff shoulders and pushed aside pasta bags, crackers, and vegetable cans in the cabinets. Where were the croutons? After he checked the fridge, he pulled the cracker box off the shelf. “I usually top the casserole with croutons, but this will have to do.” He dumped the square bits of wheat into a bowl to crush.

“No worries. I’m already impressed you’re not feeding me a TV dinner. A man who can cook gets top notches in my book.”

He winked at her. After he drained the water, he layered the pasta-and-vegetable mixture with the chicken in a large casserole dish, topped it with crumbs and cheese, and popped it into the oven. “Come here.” He pulled her close and kissed her warm, welcoming lips. Her sweet taste rocketed through him. She twisted her fingers into his damp hair and tugged hard enough to sting his scalp. He groaned. This was real. Normal. The skanky women who flocked to him at clubs and after his gigs no longer thrilled him. Did he have a shot for something real with Shea?

She moaned into his mouth and nibbled on his lip.

Tingles shot through his jaw. “Let me take care of you. I want to give you candles, music, the works.”

“You mean to seduce me?”

“I’ll only go as far as you’ll let me.”

A soft noncommittal noise rumbled from her mouth. He drew her hand up and kissed her knuckles. Was she weighing the pros and cons? Would she let him treasure her as she deserved? He licked the underside of her wrist.

“Oh, God.” Her breathing sharpened, her chest rising and falling faster. She clutched his biceps as he planted light kisses along her nose and brow. “Don’t stop kissing me, Trevor. I want to forget about everything, except you.”

“As you wish.”
