Saturday Spanking - Was it rape?

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! I’ve been very excited that Educating Jenny is finally out. I hope you’ll think of giving it a try.
In last week’s snippet Cal found out that his best friend, Jake, is dating Cal’s younger sister. The nearly ten-year age difference has Cal on the defensive and definitely in protective brother mode. After Lane points out the age difference is less than Jenny and Cal they continue to tell Cal how they got together.

“For the next nearly ten years I just lumped Lane in with ‘your little sisters.’ But when I got back from the service I hadn’t seen Lane since she was eleven. Suddenly she was fifteen and beautiful.”
Cal’s eyes narrowed. “Don’t look at me like that, man. Why do you think I stayed away from your house after I got back? I said she was beautiful and she was, but she was also like my little sister and way too young. I avoided her for the next three years. And it wasn’t easy either, she was everywhere.”
Lane laughed. “After I turned eighteen, I began stalking him. I’d ‘bout had it with his big brother act. We had a lot of good talks, but he wouldn’t ask me out. So finally, I decided to do something about it. I told him I loved him and I knew he loved me too and that he was being a fucking coward about it. He got mad and spanked my ass. That was when we slept together for the first time, about nine months ago. I admit, though, that the first time was practically rape,” Lane concluded.
“What?” Cal shouted rising from his seat as Jenny and Lane burst out laughing.
Jenny, sitting on the arm of Cal’s chair, pulled him back down in his seat. “She just trying to get you riled up although I don’t know why,” Jenny said, giving Lane a hard look. “Lane told me it was rape, but she’s the one who raped Jake.”

Cal’s young wife, Jenny, just wants to play house with her gorgeous, dominant husband, Sheriff Cal Bennett of Beaufort County.   Cal wants her to complete one more year of college before choosing a path.  Although Jenny is tired of school, she bends to her husband’s wishes and goes off to classes in a nearby city.  On their precious days together, Cal educates his beautiful girl to the idea of sexual fantasies and bedroom toys, and here, Jenny is an eager student!

She is applying herself to her classes and showing Cal she can be responsible when, suddenly, Jenny finds herself being stalked by a mysterious police officer who views every move she makes as criminal. Everyone she cares about knows that what ensues is not Jenny’s doing, but she can’t keep herself from giving in to some sweet revenge. Her plan starts out as a silly college girl prank, but soon lands her on the wrong side of Cal’s law.

Saturday Spankings - Surprise

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! This is an exciting day! Educating Jenny, the third in the Cal’s Law series is live today! I always love a new release day. Over at Blushing Book's Blog you can fine a couple of interviews - one with me and one with my characters.
In today’s snippet Cal is about to ‘meet’ his younger sister Lane’s new boyfriend. Lane has secretly been dating Cal’s best friend and head deputy. She has enjoyed having a secret from her large and overly interested family. And she’s a bit worried what they will think of the nearly nine-year age difference.

“He’s perfect for her,” Jenny assured him.
“So you know this guy?” Cal wanted to know.
“A little,” Jenny told him, edging away. “Can you just wait five minutes and see for yourself?”
Minutes later the doorbell chimed. “You want to get that?” Jenny asked him.
Cal took a deep breath and opened the door to Lane and Jake. “Hey, Jake,” he exclaimed in surprise, “I didn’t know Jenny had invited you, too. So, Lane, where’s this mysterious boyfriend I’ve been hearing about? Don’t tell me he stood you up. That would not be a point in his favor,” Cal was saying as he led them toward the kitchen.
“Umm . . . no, he didn’t stand me up,” Lane said quietly.
     “Well, when’s he coming?”
When he got no answer, Cal glanced back at his sister. He saw her holding Jake’s hand and quickly turned to face them squarely.
“No!” he snapped. “No way. What’s the matter with you?” he barked at Jake. “You better not be screwing my little sister!"

Libby Campbell - Seeing Ronnie

Seeing Ronnie
Romancing the Coast, Book 1
by Libby Campbell

Part beauty, part beast, Ronnie needs to be tamed.
Del knows just how to do that.

I'm happy once again to have Libby Campbell here in the Reading Room. This is a wonderful series and I'm looking forward to the third one.

Genre: Contemporary, DD, paranormal romance

Hashtags: #BDSM #erotic #OTK #HEA #ASMSG #SeeingRonnie #romance #spanking #paranormal #DD #psychic #HEA #dominance #contemporary @LibbyC26

Background:
With book 3 in the Romancing the Coast, Trusting Ingrid, scheduled for release in June, what better time to look at books 1 and 2 in the series?
Watch Libby Campbell’s website or follow her on Amazon to be the first to learn of deals and discounts on books 1 and 2, closer to the release date of Trusting Ingrid.
Why did I choose to write about these three women?
After reading Winning Sadie, reviewer AGS said, “[I] would love to find out more about some of the supporting characters,” I thought, “I would too.”
The only way I knew to find out more about them was to write their stories. Because Ronnie was one of the feistiest, I started with her.
After that I moved on naturally to Cynthia. What I discovered at the base of her unhappiness was an eye-opener.
Last in the series, Ingrid was one of the hardest characters to write. To the world, she is a nasty, self-centred troublemaker. To the man who challenges her, she is a frightened creature whose bark is worse than her bite.
Trusting Ingrid is also the longest book in the series, finishing at just under 82,000 words. It’s quite a journey!

But now let’s get back to the start of the series: Seeing Ronnie.

Blurb:
As a social blogger, Ronnie Flynn—aloof, beautiful, cool as a cucumber—is desperate to get to the society event of the year: Simon and Sadie’s engagement party on Seguro Island. No surprise that her name isn’t on the guest list, but as always, Ronnie has a backup plan. A plan that involves the handsome Del Franklin.
Del agrees to a swap: Ronnie gives him the scoop on his estranged wife’s dirty secrets and he takes her as his date to his boss’s party. The handsome, buff man of Italian descent makes only one condition: Ronnie better be good. No snooping. No manipulating. No digging for dirt. Or else.
With crossed fingers, and in spite of Del’s threat of putting her over his knee for disobeying, Ronnie ‘promises’ to be a good girl. Right. She’s not worried about Del. Her code of Keeping a Healthy Distance will protect her heart, and her backside. She’s too wily to get caught, anyway.
Ronnie sees. Literally. She can channel people’s feelings and see into their hearts. All her life, she has been hiding this secret weapon—her psychic ability—because what she sees is often too hard to understand and impossible to share. If she can handle that secret, surely she can handle Del. Or can she? He’s not like anyone else. Nothing has prepared her for him. She shouldn’t react like this to his dominance. She’s an independent, wealthy woman in her own right. No man will tell her what to do. Yet, there is something about this sexy dominant Latin lover that makes her pulse race.
Will Ronnie allow Del to break her Code of Keeping a Healthy Distance? Will seeing Ronnie open Del’s eyes to a new world? Will the two of them ever see life the same way?
Publishers’ note: Seeing Ronnie is intended for adults only. Spanking and other sexual activities represented in this book are fantasies only, intended for adults. Nothing in this book should be interpreted as Blushing Books’ or the author’s advocating any non-consensual spanking activity or spanking of minors.

Excerpt:

When you’re with me you will be polite and well mannered. Agreed?”
“Agreed.” Ronnie nodded soberly to show her good intentions, but under the table she crossed her fingers.
“You better mean that.” Del drained his coffee cup and levelled his eyes at her. “Because if I catch you prying or snooping—doing anything outside the bounds of good manners—there will be consequences.”
“Consequences?” Ronnie licked a drop of tea off her lips.
“Serious consequences.” The corner of his mouth lifted in a crooked smile. “I will turn you over my knee and paddle your bottom until you beg me to stop. And then I will spank you some more. Do I make myself clear?”
“You do,” Ronnie whispered. A damp flutter clenched between her legs and she pressed her knees together as if she could lock out the desire that suddenly sent her blood boiling. No one had ever threatened her like that before. Worse still, it was as though he was the one with the gift of second sight, as if he’d read her secret intention to ignore everything he’d just said. She glanced over her shoulder to see if anyone might have heard his sultry caution. No one was paying them any attention.
The very worst part was that she had no idea how she was going to turn off the part of her personality that wanted to know everything about everybody. She’d been accused of living through the dramas of other people’s lives and there was more truth to that than she cared to admit. Her own life was dishwater dull and she kept it that way so she had energy for her work as a gossip queen. More importantly she kept her life orderly so that there was no mud that could be slung her way. She twisted her tea cup to avoid looking at Del.
“One last problem.” Del spoke as calmly as if he hadn’t just suggested the most erotic thing anyone had put to Ronnie in ten years or so. “I haven’t made a booking and I’m sure every hotel and B&B on the island will be full by now.”
“I have a place we can stay.” Ronnie forced coolness into her voice. She didn’t say it’s a fabulous place and it’s for sale. She’d only seen it in pictures but if it was half as good in real life, she planned to buy it. That was her secret and she wasn’t sharing it with anyone. She held her expression impassive.
“You’ve got a place on Seguro?”
“I wish. This place belongs to friends, but we can use it this weekend. I also have ferry reservations to get us there.” Even if she didn’t get an invitation to the Jacobson bash, she’d planned a weekend on the island to test drive the lake house.
Del lifted an eyebrow. “Separate rooms?”
“Absolutely. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
The memory of the warmth and strength of his hand in hers made her think that sharing a bed with Del Franklin might be pleasurable. The idea of being turned over his knee made her legs tremble. But none of that was going anywhere. She indulged herself in little fantasies from time to time, but she never acted on them.
Ronnie had sworn off men a long time ago.

Saturday Spankings - NEW! Educating Jenny

Welcome to a special Saturday Spankings! My newest book, Educating Jenny will be out by next weekend (Amazon willing) and today I’m sharing the first excerpt from the new book. This is the third in the Cal’s Law series.  Each is a stand-alone book, but if you like knowing everything from the beginning you can begin with Cal’s Law and then Becoming Family.

I know I’m cheating horribly on the eight-sentence rule, but it is your first taste!

 Blurb:

Cal’s young wife, Jenny, just wants to play house with her gorgeous, dominant husband, Sheriff Cal Bennett of Beaufort County. Cal wants her to complete one more year of college before choosing a path.  Although Jenny is tired of school, she bends to her husband’s wishes and goes off to classes in a nearby city.  On their precious days together, Cal educates his beautiful girl to the idea of sexual fantasies and bedroom toys, and here, Jenny is an eager student!

Jenny finds herself being stalked by a mysterious police officer who views every move she makes as criminal. Everyone she cares about knows that what ensues is not Jenny’s doing, but she can’t keep herself from giving in to some sweet revenge. Her plan starts out as a silly college girl prank, but soon lands her on the wrong side of Cal’s law.

 Excerpt:

“I know you want to talk about this college thing some more. It’s stressing me out too. I’m willing to talk about it, but it might lead to a fight. So, let’s go to the bedroom for a little playtime to get us both in a good mood first. College can’t be mentioned until we come back in here, agree?”

Jenny watched Cal’s face break into a dazzling smile. “I agree. And woman, I like the way you handle stressful situations.”

“I think you’re going to like the way I handle lots of things,” Jenny assured him.

In the bedroom, Jenny began unbuttoning his shirt. The hardness of his body always impressed her and she slowly rubbed her hand over his six-pack. She undid his belt and lowered his zipper. Putting her hands inside his pants, she lowered his jeans and underwear continuing to push them down until she was on her knees.

“While I’m in the neighborhood,” she murmured. She put her mouth to his balls and gently sucked one into her mouth. Cal gasped with surprise and delight. She continued the treatment while gently stroking his erection. Jenny got to her feet. “Just a preview,” she told him, standing up.

Cal began undressing her. He loved this and he took his time. He loved every inch of her body, and many parts he chose to savor with both his eyes and his mouth. Now nude, Jenny stepped back. “On the bed,” she ordered him, “on your stomach.”

“Stomach?” he questioned.

Jen pointed and didn’t repeat herself. Cal lay down and immediately Jenny climbed over him, reaching for the lotion. “You need a good massage to get rid of all that stress,” she told him. She began smoothing the lotion into his neck and shoulders. Cal loved the feeling of her hands on him as she massaged his back then began on his legs. She worked her way up slowly and then, unable to resist, she landed a hard swat to his beautiful ass.

“Oww . . .” she cried out. “Damn, Cal, your ass is hard as a brick!”

Cal had turned to grab her wrist, “And you’re not supposed to spank it.” He laughed at her. “Here let me show you how it’s done.” He quickly pulled her across his lap and began with a few hard swats.

Saturday - Let the Fun Begin

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! Warm weather has finally arrived where I live and I’m ready to lay by the pool and read. If you feel the same I hope you’ll find something here to catch your interest. My newest book, Educating Jenny, should be out May 19. That’s the same day as the Royal Wedding. In case you weren’t invited, you should stay home and read. Today’s snipped is from the second Cal’s Law books, Becoming Family.

Finally, Jenny has broken through Cal’s worries that they shouldn’t be together. And once the barriers were lowered the fun times begin!

Cal’s car was in the drive when Jenny arrived shortly before four. Letting herself in quietly she heard his shower running and grinned to herself. In the bedroom, she undressed down to her bra and panties and tiptoed to the door of the bathroom just as the shower went off.

“Thank goodness, I thought I was going to have to wait for you to undress,” Jenny told him.

Whipping back the curtain Cal stood scowling in all his naked glory. “You shouldn’t sneak up on a lawman,” he told her sternly, but his face softened as he saw what she had on. “But then again, who am I to complain?”

Watching Cal’s erection swell even as he stood looking at her, she asked him, “Is that a cannon you got there or are you just happy to see me?”

Jenny and Cal are together and happy. Though they share a deep connection, they have very different ideas of what makes a family. Jenny’s is small, cold and unwelcoming. Meeting Cal’s sprawling, loud, loving mass of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles poses a unique challenge. She protects herself against her domineering mother, keeping her at arm’s length.

Cal keeps his parents and extended family close. They are like one big, living, breathing hug. His challenge: to get Jenny to her first Bennet barbeque. Her love for him, and a bit of over the knee encouragement, drives her to agree to meet the Bennets. She learns that not all families are created equal.

Heartened by her reaction, Cal is excited to finally meet Jenny’s parents. Despite her warnings, he remains steadfast – all families are loving and kind. Mothers love their daughters; fathers protect their children. The dinner they share in her childhood home teaches him things he wishes he never had to learn.

Jenny’s mother has planned a future for her daughter that does not include someone as ordinary as Cal Bennet. What good could this small town hick with no money and no connections do her? How far will she go to see that her wishes become reality? Will these two lovers come to an understanding of what their family will look like?
