Saturday Spankings - Watch your temper

It’s time for Saturday Spankings again. I know many, many of us are concentrating on the weather and all our friends and family in Florida and the whole south today. Since you stopped by here today I’ll try to take your mind off these worries for a moment.

Today’s snipped is from the third Cassie book, Cassie on the Move.  Cassie had kept the fact that she was feeling tired and feverish a secret from Tom. Tom was not happy with Cassie when, after she passed out, she finally confessed to both Tom and her doctor that she’d been feeling unwell. Tom hovered as she recovered, not letting her be too active and not letting her drive. Once Cassie was fully on the mend, Tom wanted to talk about why she had kept it all from him. Cassie on the other hand, just wanted Tom off her back she wanted to end the conversation. She might not have chosen the best way.

Tom asked, “Are you sure this is the way you want this conversation to go?”
I’d gotten up to take my dishes to the counter and I turned back and yell at him, “I don’t want this conversation to go anywhere. I want my damn keys!”
I know, I know – I’d yelled a bit, and cussed just a little, but I did not break the glass on purpose. It was just that everything seemed to happen at once. When I sat my plate down, maybe a tiny bit hard, the glass fell into the sink and shattered.
Tom jumped up and grabbed both my hand from behind before I could reach into the sink for the broken pieces. Tucking me under his arm he sailed in to my rear with a hard hand. Goodness, nightgowns offer such little protection. Or so I thought until he pulled it up and let go with another volley.
“You’re just spanking me because I got sick. That wasn’t my fault. Owww!” I shouted, that last spank was extremely hard.
Tom straightened me back up and held me at arm’s length. “That wasn’t a spanking,” he informed me. “That was simply a suggestion that you get hold of yourself, smashing dishes, yelling, cursing? Girl, what’s gotten into you?”
“Felt like a spanking to me,” I muttered.

Cassie is on the move and loving life. Through paint ball game in the woods and water park adventure she’s gets to know her new neighbors as the new house is renovated.

Cassie is traveling too, from trips with just the girls, to conventions, vacations, and cruises with Tom and friends, she's always ready for the next adventure. But when Cassie begins having dizzy spells Tom thinks a slower pace is in order. Getting Cassie to slow down and take care of herself proves to be quite a challenge. A challenge Tom is more than determined to take on.

Small Changes

I have another book to tell you about.  Donna Steele is my favorite non-spanko author. I love her new books, Small Changes

Here’s the blurb:

Melanie Daniels is back home, reconnecting with friends and taking over the family business. She’s content even if there isn’t that one special person in her life. Then she sees the man of her dreams stalking toward her.

Jonah Sanders and his daughter have been on the run for nearly two years. It’s time to regroup and rest. He doesn’t know what has drawn him to this small town but he’s learned to live by his instincts. So why does the woman next door override his instincts and cause him to think of a life he can’t chance?

I bought it a few day ago and I left a review on Facebook. And let me again take a moment to plug reviews, it’s the most wonderful gift you can give an author. It’s a way to tell them you enjoyed their book. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing people bought your book, but then you are dying to know – what did they think of it? In addition, reviews help entice more people to buy. Ok, off my soapbox. This is the review I left for Small Changes.

You’re gonna like this one! I was caught up in the story from page one. It’s not every day a beautiful little girl show up unaccompanied in your yard. Donna Steele has a way of writing where everything seems normal, but there is an undercurrent. Jonah and Melanie feel it too, but what can they do? It’s not bad, it’s just not normal. Unfortunately, they are not the only ones seeking answers. Are they safe or should Jonah and his daughter get further away – but that would mean leaving Melanie. This is a fast-moving book that will keep you wondering until the last page.

Go read this one right away because I hope to have a new Cassie book for you soon!

Jaye Peaches - A Strict Gentleman

A Strict Gentleman

Jaye Peaches

Publisher: Stormy Night
Genre: Victorian Romance, Historical, Time Travel

“You are bound by the rules of this century, not yours. I shall hold you accountable in whatever way I wish.”

I'm very happy to be hosting Jaye Peaches again today. A Strict Gentleman has caught my attention completely. I think this will be a very enjoyable read.

Blurb:
Twenty-three-year-old Kelly Regan didn’t expect much excitement when she took a job as a curator at a historic estate, but upon encountering a beautiful, mysteriously powerful mirror she suddenly finds herself transported back to the Victorian era.
Kelly is intrigued by the estate’s owner, the handsome bachelor Sir Henry Yarlswood, and in order to learn more about life in his household she impersonates another woman and obtains a position as his maid. But Henry is not a man who tolerates dishonestly from his staff, and after her deception is discovered Kelly’s bottom is bared for a painful, embarrassing spanking.
The stern punishment only increases Kelly’s desire to know more about her handsome employer, but after she is caught snooping through his personal effects she soon finds herself stripped naked for an even more shameful chastisement. Despite her sore bottom, however, she is deeply aroused by Henry’s firm-handed dominance, and when he claims her properly his masterful lovemaking leaves her spent and satisfied. But will their blossoming romance be enough to keep her by his side, even if it means leaving her old life behind forever?
Publisher’s Note: A Strict Gentleman includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Excerpt

Henry paused and flexed the rod before swishing it through the air a few time. It was a horrible sound, unmistakable. Her fantasy scenario of moaning girls and probing dominants with frisky fingers was nothing like the strict application of Henry’s cane.
“I wish to know, young lady,” Henry said as he continued to swish the cane through the air, “have you taken anything from this room?”
Taken? She’d looked in his journal, but not taken it. “No, sir,” she gasped.
The cane struck with a resounding thud and she drummed the palms of her hand on the seat of the chair. “No, I haven’t,” she repeated.
“Please keep your head up, Kelly. The mirror is there for both our benefits.”
He noticed she liked to look at him and he was using it to observe her too. It was an odd moment of reassurance. If he could see her face, the tears, the pained expression, he must be judging whether she was coping or on the verge of collapse. Was Henry so cruel as to want her to faint? She doubted it. Nothing she’d read in his journal, assuming he accurately portrayed his activities, implied he sought a woman’s injury or committed harmful acts. The cane stung like crazy, but it wasn’t being wielded with force, only accuracy.
She raised her head and stared at him. He nodded, then to her amazement, he stepped toward her behind and with his forefinger traced the line of the cane.
Kelly gasped, not because it hurt or made the mark throb any harder, but because it was tender and curative. For a few seconds she was thrilled, excited, and perversely aroused by that delicate touch. Now she throbbed in a new spot; her little nub was aching to be noticed.
“Because I know,” he said, stepping back, “that taken objects can be returned to their correct location without being missed.” He cracked the cane swiftly against her bottom.

Saturday Spanking - Who's fault was it?

It’s Saturday again and I’m glad to have you back for your Saturday Spankings. It seems summer is galloping away from us, but there is still plenty of summer reading to be enjoyed. Today’s snippet if from the second Cassie book, Cassie’s Tale. It takes up not long after last week’s snippet.

Tom’s out of town and he’s worried about Cassie, who has seemed down lately. Sue flies in to find Cassie nearly unconscious and with a badly cut hand. She manages to keep Cassie awake until her doctor arrives and she stays with Cassie until Tom makes it home. Sue and Cassie always try to cover for one another, but this was too much for Sue.

I was asleep when Tom got home later that evening, but I’d been up and down several times. Sue could have cleaned up the darn bedroom for me, but no she took Tom right up to see it blood and all. When he came down the stairs his pale face made it seem as if he’d been the one bleeding.
Tom and Sue talked for a long time before Sue came in to tell me goodbye. “I had to tell him everything,” she told me while giving me a fierce hug. “You scared the crap outta me. You got to get it together, Cassie.”
“It’s not my fault, I didn’t really do anything wrong, you know.”
Sue stepped back and stared, finally she started cackling like an old hen. “Tom,” she called to him in the kitchen. “She just told me it wasn’t her fault and that she didn’t do anything wrong – by golly, I think she’s back.”

Cassie continues to live life to the fullest, from wheeling around in her new sports car to mastering the art of riding a motor scooter with no hands, she manages to keep Tom on his toes. The fly in the ointment is that Tom’s firm wants him back for a project and Cassie wants him all to herself.  When Tom takes the job, Cassie is left lonely and bored – never a good combination for her.

Left to her own devices Cassie makes some poor decisions, frightening Sue and causing Tom to lower the boom. Tom's new schedule for Cassie, including her getting a job, leaves her little time to get herself in trouble – yet she still manages.
