Blurb
Alyssa Sanders has taken care of herself since she was too young to do so. But she’s all grown up and ready to get her life on the right track.  She heads to Chicago with her life savings and a few prospects. She expects to get a job, find an apartment and get on her way of settling down. What she doesn’t expect is to find her new boss not only severely attractive and Dominant, but the son of an old friend.
Alex Trebelli would do anything for his father, so when he’s asked to escort an old friend’s daughter to dinner he doesn’t hesitate to agree. Except the daughter isn’t the small town young woman his father described. She’s all grown up, full of beauty and curves, and a submissive nature that draws out his dominant side.
When Alex explains he won’t be her friend, he can’t just be her friend, he wants more, he wants to be her dominant, her boyfriend, she has to decide if she’s going to take the leap. She’s never been good at a full time D/s relationship, but Alex makes her feel safe and secure. She finds him easy to be with, even when he’s being overprotective and bossy.
Can she manage to put aside her fears of failure, and self-doubt and give them a real chance, or will she chose the safer route and keep clear of his sexy smile, and dominant ways?

Excerpt
The silence made her nervous; she wanted his words, his touches, and the lack of both worried her. Just as she was about to break her silence he stood in front her. His hands dug into her hair and he pulled her head back to look up at him. The pleasure and joy she expected to see alluded her. Instead firm, frank eyes glared down at her.
"Where did you get the cuffs?" he asked.
"The foot locker in the closet," she said, searching his expression. Anger did not lurk behind his words, but displeasure shone through his eyes.
"What were your instructions?" he asked, releasing her hair and moving down to his haunches, keeping their eyes locked.
"To come in here, strip, and kneel with my hands behind my back and my eyes downcast," she answered and before she could continue, he spoke.
"And in those instructions where did I say to go into the closet and dig out a pair of cuffs?"
"Nowhere, but I—"
"You are trying to control the situation." His words were given in a soft tone, but the implication was harsh.
"What? No. I was trying to add to it, to give you more of what you wanted." She wished they could have the discussion clothed.
"What I want, what I desire, is your submission, your obedience. If I want your hands cuffed, I'll give you the instructions or I'll do it myself. You wanted your hands bound. You wanted to feel the cuffs on your wrists, bound, and waiting for me. Those were your desires."
"Don't my desires matter?" she asked with an edge that she quickly regretted at the instant raise of his eyebrow.
"Of course they matter. And I will always take your desires into account. When you submit to me, you trust me to give you want you want, what you need, and push your limits, but you don't control what happens."

A little more about our author:

The obvious question. How did you become a writer? I’ve been doing it since I was a little kid. I didn’t really think anything of it until my mom pointed it out to me much later.  In Junior High we had to write a short story for the open house, and all the other kid’s stories were one page, a few paragraphs, mine was the only one that took two pages and had dialogue and everything. She knew then I was going to be a writer. When she told me that story, I figured, hey, she’s right!  Silly, that I needed someone else to say it in order for me to know it, but writing stories was just something I did for fun, to entertain myself.

Are you working on a new book right now? Yes. I’m working on a dark erotic romance. My first ever, and it’s terrifying to write because it pulls me out of my comfort zone of completely consensual spankings, and sexual encounters. On the other hand, it’s completely hot and exciting, so it’s a daily roller coaster ride.

Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.  Blushing Authors have been a huge help, especially with this release. Everyone is so helpful and genuine. It’s been a great experience and hopefully the first of many.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing? I still have a day job, but in the off hours, if I’m not writing, or thinking about writing, I’m usually curled up with a book. If my kids happen to actually be home instead of off playing with friends, we’ll spend time together watching old sitcoms on Netflix, or having a family game night.

Saturday Spanking - Brand new series - Cal's Law

I love Saturday Spankings! I have a new book coming out and I can’t think of a better place to promote it! This is the first book in my new series. I don’t have a cover yet, but Cal’s Law will be out between Christmas and New Years. If you’ve enjoyed the Cassie series, I hope you’ll give this new one a try. But don’t think I’ve given up on Cassie, there will me more from her in the future.

Today's snippet -

The sudden light in her eyes blinded her. She heard the man shout and her mind screamed in panic with only one thought, get away! In her terror she sprinted for the door but the man was on her. His arm snaked around her waist and she was yanked backwards and off her feet. She dropped her bag in her mad effort to get away but she was half dragged, half carried back into the bedroom. She let out one strangled scream and the man tightened his grip pushing all the air from her lungs.
He pulled her to the dresser as he fumbled inside the top drawer. Her mind was still reeling when she felt cold steel on her wrist and another wave of sheer panic shot through her as she realized she was now being handcuffed to the bed. Every story she’s ever heard about kidnap and rape raced through her mind.

Blurb for Cal’s Law:

Jenny is the typical rich-kid, sorority girl. Getting good grades isn’t high on her priority list. In fact, that sits well below getting into the secret faction of her sorority. To do that she must pull off a daring bit of mischief.
Cal Bennett is the town sheriff. He’s a relatively young, no-nonsense, kind of guy – with a good heart. He is the moral center of this small town in North Carolina. But when his and Jenny’s paths cross unexpectedly, things get complicated and he questions his morals and his heart.
His plan to save Jenny from herself by enforcing strict discipline seems like a sound one.  To both of them. At first. He enacts a touch of martial law and Jenny agrees to learn more than English Lit. Cooking, cleaning, and laundry are but a few of her new subjects. Along with time-management, telling the truth and doing homework. Breaking any one in this new set of rules will result in a sound spanking. It all sounds simple enough when she signs on the dotted line of the contract between her and her sheriff.
But, life is messy and she is faced with one tough decision after another. She’s a college student! Shouldn’t life be easier than this? Less complicated? But she is pulled in two directions: her moral, upstanding sheriff leads her down one path, and a cute frat boy leads her down another. In one direction lies maturity, and a future. In the other, the simplicity of being a rich kid in college where Mommy and Daddy pay for everything. Now she must choose: Will she continue to let her parents pay for it all, or will she learn to pay the price for her own actions?

Anita Philmar - The Warrior in Me

The Warrior in Me

I have Anita Philmar with me today. This book looks exciting and definitely not like any other. I'm sure you'll enjoy The Warrior in Me.

Blurb:

Special Security Agent Sebastian Berlin is eager to track down his partner's killer. Instead, he’s assigned the job of baby-sitting a scientist. His boss thinks she's the key to an Ancient Warrior Prophecy. Science never interested Sebastian, but the know-it-all female standing at the end of his Alaskan dock could persuade him to do a little experimenting. That is, if he can keep his Neanderthal Warrior genes from taking control.

DNA specialist Lily Sinclair is in need of a vacation, or so her over-protective ex-husband tells her. Arriving in chilly Alaska instead of sunny Cancun, she's tired and cranky and so not in the mood for her bodyguard's he-man tactics. Still, there's something about the sexy eye-candy that makes her want to lick him all over even as she's demanding to go home.

Then Lily's ex is poisoned, and Sebastian is certain the two murders are connected and she could be next. She knows he's hiding something, but with the worldwide release of Neanderthal DNA project only days away, she has no choice but to trust him to protect her. But can she trust him with her heart?

Excerpt:

She blinked.
He had to be joking.
Lifting her hand to her chest, she sputtered, “Excuse me, what did you say?”
“Cain was murdered outside your lab.” He rephrased the sentence, but her brain registered only one word…—murdered.
She jumped to her feet and planted her hands on his desk. “Why didn’t anyone tell me this before now?” She glanced around for her purse. “I need to call Mark. We have to call the police and find out what the hell happened. Did they break into the lab?”
Without waiting for his reply, she turned and headed back down the hallway to where he’d left her suitcase. She didn’t see her handbag anywhere near it. Did she leave it in the small, tin-bucket-sized plane? Or had Bruce left it on the dock?
Desperate for answers to a whole host of questions, she rushed outside. “Damn it, Bruce, how do you expect me to stay in touch with home if you fly off with my purse?”

Saturday Spanking - Just one more...

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. Except for a few friends I have in New Zealand and Australia I’m guessing you’re somewhere cold this Saturday. I know I am and I’m planning on curling up with a good book by the fire. Where to find that good book? Right her of course. You can grab a Cassie book or choose from all the good snippets from the others here.
Last week Cassie and Sue played a little prank on Lily – which backfired when they had to clean up the mess they created. Unfortunately, they didn’t get the urge to be the pranksters out of their systems.  And even though Tom is amused, he's not going to let this one pass without consequences.

“Cassie, what is wrong with you?” Tom asked with concern. “Why are you so jumpy.”
I… I just can’t settle down for some reason. I think I’ll take a shower.”
“All right, if you’re sure you’re okay.”
I had just stepped into the bedroom when I heard Tom’s cell ring and my heart lurched. I hurried into the bathroom but stood at the door just long enough to hear Tom say, “Lily, slow down, I can’t understand you.” He listened for a moment, then I heard him chuckle and asked her to repeat, “They did what?”
I’d heard enough. I figured it was time to lock the bathroom door.

Blurb:

There's a girl’s trip in the works. All the girls have planned and plotted for months. Everything must work out just right for them to be able to talk the guys into this trip. All is on track until Allie, of all people, lands in hot water. Cassie and Sue do their best to help her out and keep the hope of the trip alive too.
Behaving is always a struggle for Cassie. She does try but, unfortunately, there are situations–completely beyond her control, at least in her eyes, that keep landing her on the wrong side of Tom’s spanking hand. As Cassie continues to end up in trouble, there are some interesting new friends, maybe a little rougher than Tom would want her associating with, who want to help her too. . .
