Welcome
back to Saturday Spanking, I love to have people come by and visit. I’m giving
eight sentences today from the forth Cassie book, Cassie’s River Living. There
is a new Cassie book completed and I’m hoping to hear soon if my publisher is
going to take it. My eight sentences today show how trouble seems to follow
poor Cassie and how her oft repeated claim, “It was Sue’s fault!” is often
true.
To
celebrate Cassie’s new home theater Sue decides to bring over a ‘dirty movie’
to share with Cassie and Annie. But the ladies, having not seen a true X-rated
film in the past few decades, were horrified by what was in the screen before
them. Stopping the offending video quickly Cassie and Annie begin teasing Sue
about her movie choices. Sadly none of them thought to remove the DVD from the
machine. That night coming back to the theater with all the husbands they didn’t
give it a thought until Andy pushed play…
Reality dawned quickly on both Sue and me as we each turned and
leaped from opposite sides at the remote. All we managed to do in that first
frantic leap was knock the remote to the floor, and out of our immediate reach,
and hit our heads together so solidly that you could have heard the crack down
stairs. Grabbing my head with one hand, I continued to scramble after the
remote. Sue and I managed to grab it at the same time and frantically began
pushing buttons as I heard Tom roar, “Turn
that off!”
I couldn’t even see the buttons, we were just madly pressing
anything in the hopes of stopping what was happening. We did manage to hit
something that caused it to begin playing in fast speed – trust me, that did
not help.
I hope you'll give the Cassie books a read.
Oh no, I see trouble coming. Once you start to scramble for anything you know you're going to end up dropping it or breaking it or something. Poor Cassie, great snippet though PK :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Constance, this is typical Cassie and Sue!
DeleteThat frantic scene is so believable lol.
ReplyDeleteI think Tom will only be unhappy about the public nature of the discovery.
True he was a little embarrassed in front of the gang.
DeleteLOL. I can so picture this!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cara, me too. LOL!
DeleteOMG that was hilarious. I seriously spilt my coffee. MORE MORE MORE. A good giggle first thing Saturday morning is always great fun :)
ReplyDeleteCassie and Sue even make me laugh. They are true friends who often weather the storm of annoyed husbands together.
DeleteLol! OMG, that was so funny. I feel bad for her, but I'm so cracking up. Thank You!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, they's bee fine. The guys were more annoyed and embarrassed than angry.
DeleteHahaha That's hysterical. I can just see that! Very funny snippet!
ReplyDeleteThanks Megan, I think deep down we all know this could happen to us.
DeleteLMBO! I can just imagine....
ReplyDeleteThanks Rayanna, I do love these women.
DeleteCassie gets into the most fun trouble! I love reading about her.
ReplyDeleteThat makes me happy Holla, Cassie is not a dull woman.
DeleteWhat exactly started playing on the T.V to make Tom so mad? Hmmm...Great snippet! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think perhaps something he thought best left in the privacy of one's bedroom. And can you just imagine him watching it in fast forward? LOL! Now get back to your studying!
DeleteI can just see Tom's reaction - he really can be a little prudish, I'm surprised Cassie has loosened him up a little by now.
ReplyDeleteLOL, you're always hard on Tom. No, he's not wild about his wife watching porn with her friends. But he will be reasonable.
Delete"We did manage to hit something that caused it to begin playing in fast speed – trust me, that did not help."
ReplyDeleteOMG too funny!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you imagine all that gang sitting around watching a little porn in fast speed?
DeleteYou captured the total sense of panicked confusion really well in that snippet. Funny how everything goes wrong just when you need it to be right!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tara, things do seem to go wrong in front of the wrong people.
Deletewhat a scene!
ReplyDelete: )
DeleteLoL PK, that was so funny, Cassie and Sue do get themselves into some interesting predicaments! Loved when they accidentally pushed fast forward ... I'm sure that didn't help! LoL
ReplyDeleteHugs
Roz
Thanks Roz, I can just picture Tom's face.
DeleteLOL!! Cassie has an I Love Lucy sort of feel to her in this scene. We actually just had one of these moments. At a family dinner, my 6 year old picked up the remote to change the tv (which was on a music station for ambience) and somehow got to the "adult" channels at Grandpa's house. OMG!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it, now that will add to a family dinner - did Grandpa have anything to say?
DeleteSo funny. Trouble ahead.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Ronnie

So true, but what fun to picture it all.
