Saturday Spanking - Poor Choice, June 20

Happy Saturday Spankings. I’m through school for this year and I come here to this great blog hop to fill up my kindle. I hope you’ll pick up at least one of the Cassie books during the summer. You can read them in any order – try one, I think you’ll like them. But if you like to go in order they are Cassie’s Space, Cassie’s Tale, Cassie onthe Move, Cassie’s River living. These first four can be found in a box set. The next is Cassie’s Conflict and the one pulling my snippet from today, Cassie’s Influence.

Last week Cassie was telling about a little bathing suit she had the first year she and Tom were married. When Tom demands she change into something more appropriate Cassie destroys the bathing suit and angrily throws it at Tom. Tom keeps his cool and only tells her to pick the suit up and throw it away before he leaves for his meeting.

Instead Cassie heads out with Sue to find a suit smaller suit, one even Sue warns against. Wearing this new suit to the pool, where she is the center of attention, Cassie waits for Tom to join her. Instead he calls her at the pool bar.

"Cassie, you have two minutes to get up here and get this bathing suit off the floor. I wasn't kidding this morning and I'm not kidding now, you better move." Tom's demanding tone set my blood to boiling again.
"If you want the damn suit picked up, do it yourself!" I snapped in fury.
"So help me I'm going..." I had absolutely no interests in hearing what he was going to do so I hung up on him. I grabbed my drink and downed it in one gulp. Turning to scan the crowd, I saw Sue looking at me and shaking her head. She took one finger and slid it across her throat. Maybe that was when reality crashed down on me. I wasn't worried about a slit throat – that might have been quick and painless. I suddenly realized what was coming, and I knew it would be neither quick nor painless.

Blurb:
Intentionally or not, Cassie’s influence spreads. Sue’s marriage had improved through Cassie’s influence.  However when Sue’s marriage unexpectedly takes a turn for the worse, Sue pushes for the solution she feels will work, a solution that could put Cassie on a collision course with the ivory brush.

Allie and Ryan are both feeling influence from Cassie and Tom. Cassie doesn't mean to lead Allie astray - but Allie sees Cassie as a role model. Every adventure, old or new, captures Allie's attention which increases her desire to be more like her mentor. But for better or worse, Ryan is just as determined to be like Tom.
The Cassie books don’t have to be read in order, but if you are ready to jump in the first four can now be found in the  Cassie Box Set. It’s a great deal.

Keep on reading for more great snippets this week.

  1. Yup, sometimes in the heat of the moment we forget that we'll need to pay the piper at some point. Cassie's just realized she's about to pay big time. Great snippet, PK.

    1. You got that right! She has said it's going to be her temper that gets her killed not her wild ways.

    1. Lounging is what I plan to be doing next week! But as for Cassie, Tom is going to pitch a fit. Will she ever learn - probably not.
