I love this Saturday Spanking blog hop! Have to fill up my
Kindle and this is always the
place to go. For a bonus I want to let you know that Cassie’s River Living
is on sale for .99, so if you’ve been thinking you might give a Cassie book a
try this might be a read deal for you.
Today my
snippet comes from the latest Cassie book, Cassie’s Ordeal. Beginning shortly
after I left off last week, Tom has given Cassie a complete warm up with his
hand, which she feels is more than enough. When he reaches for the ivory brush
Cassie blurts out something desperately hopes will save her bottom.
Tom sat me up at once with a concerned look on his face.
“What? Tell me, Cassie.”
I took a deep breath, knowing that this could go either way.
“I’ve developed a severe allergy, it could be serious.” Tom stared, saying
nothing, waiting for me to continue.
“It’s ivory, Tom. I’ve developed a serious allergy to ivory
- if it comes in contact with my skin it causes swelling, redness, and severe
pain. Medical professionals feel I should avoid it at all cost.”
I stole a quick
look at Tom’s face, outrage and humor seemed to be competing and I was praying
humor would win. When he said nothing, I continued, “Doctors fear that wood
might cause the same reaction, although leather might be safe for the most
part.”
The Cassie books don’t have to be read in order, so jump in with this one. But if you like to read in order the first four can now be found in the Cassie Box Set. It’s a great deal.

Blurb for Cassie’s Ordeal - book 7
Cassie loves her life on the river with Tom and her friends. She feels Tom has her wrapped in a safe and protected cocoon of love. But her world is jarred when the phone calls begin. Cassie hesitates to tell Tom about them knowing he’ll over react and she will be the one under ‘house arrest’. But when the calls go from annoying to frightening she has no choice. Tom brings in the police to find out who is behind the harassment and make plans to keep Cassie safe, but he’s too late – Cassie is gone without a trace.
The police began an all out search, but there are few clues to go on. Will life on the river ever be the same again?

I love her quick thinking, and I know Tom adores her, so hopefully he'll reach for his belt instead, if he feels she isn't contrite enough, yet.
ReplyDeleteHe does adore her and he listens more than you might think.
DeleteSomehow, I don't think Cassie's quick thinking is going to help.
ReplyDeleteYou never know - Tom love a well thought out argument.
DeleteThis might just earn her more punishment.
ReplyDeleteBut she might get points for originality.
DeleteAllergic to ivory and wood? Fat chance Tom will go for that. Though I can see him going for the leather.
ReplyDeleteHe explains he's thoughts on allergy treatments completely.
DeleteHa ha I love it! I'm with Cassie - leather is best :)
ReplyDeleteCassie love Tom's belt like nothing else - she feels the ivory brush is evil and should be destroyed.
DeleteLoL PK, love it! Cassie is a trier. Not sure it will help her though.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Roz
She is definitely a 'never say die' girl!
