Saturday Spankings - Siblings

Happy Memorial Day weekend, happy Saturday Spanking and happy almost summer! You have come to the right blog hop to fill up your summer reading list. We have snippets galore.  Today I’m pushing my latest, Becoming Family.
Cal has to nearly bully Jenny into coming to a family gathering. There are seven siblings in all and Jenny feels a bit overwhelmed. Relationships between brothers and sisters are foreign to her. When Cal’s seventeen-year-old twin sisters invite her to the house to help she figures it’s time to take the plunge, but she quickly learns that the twins aren’t Cal’s biggest fans.

As soon as they were out of ear shot of the crowd one of then asked, “Are you really dating that big jerk? I bet he’s a barrel of laughs on a date.”
Jenny knew brothers and sisters teased and picked on one another, but this didn’t feel like teasing. The other one, Charlotte she thought, spoke up, “I’m guessing he must be great in bed, because his personality sucks.”
Jenny stopped walking to stare at the twins, “I don’t know if you’re joking or if you’re serious, but I’m in love with Cal and I’m not going to listen to anyone talk shit about him. You understand me?”
Both twins stared at her in shock. “Umm… sorry,” one of them finally said. “We were teasing, sort of. It’s just that he’s such a tight ass.
Jenny turned and walked on to the house, she didn’t need a fight with Cal’s little sisters on their first meeting.

Against overwhelming odds, Jenny and Cal are together and happy. Their love is strong, but before they can become family Jenny needs to learn what that word means. Jenny has no background in the real meaning of "family" but when Cal wants her to meet his and get to know hers, she knows the time has come. The difference in the two families is wide and jarring. Jenny has a lot to learn, but then so does Cal. When he meets her family, he discovers that the word family doesn't always mean the same thing to all people.

Jenny’s mother has planned a future for her daughter that does not include someone as ordinary as Cal Bennet. What could this small-town hick with no money and no connections do for her? How far will her mother go to see that Jenny accepts a life of high society and prestige? Will these two lovers come to an understanding of what their family will look like?

  2. I agree with Roz - Jenny hasn't figured out they dynamic. I can't wait to see where this goes.

    1. These are just two of the seven kids - she has more to get to know and understand.

  3. I love the way she stood up for Cal. It didn't sound like teasing to me, either. Yeah, sibling rivalry often means you joke about each other, but it's usually not a direct put down unless the other person is present. Then you can say what you want, since you aren't talking about each other behind their backs and the individual is free to respond how she/he will. This seemed more like back-stabbing to me.

    1. It didn't sound like teasing to Jenny either. She didn't like it either way. But thankfully, there is another sister.

  4. They've probably been spanked by him, at some point in time. Poor Jenny! It's hard to join a new family.

    1. So true, going from no siblings, aunts, uncles or cousins to the crowd Cal has has to be hard.
