Saturday Spanking - Thoughts of Cassie and Sue

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! I enjoy reading the different snippets, so many different type stories. I’m continuing with snippets from my latest book Becoming Family, the second book in the Cal’sLaw series. But I’m having a little fun with today’s snippet, it’s really for those of you who are familiar with my first series, Cassie’s Space.
Cal wants Jenny to meet with them in the hope she can get a job with Cassie’s daughter-in-law. For those of you who know Cassie and Sue, I believe you’ll agree with Cal’s warning about what Jenny said.

“More new people?” Jenny sighed.  “Well maybe. Who are they?”
“Well it’s three older couples and then…”
“What’d you mean older, how old?” Jenny asked.
“Well,” Cal hesitated, “I’m not sure, sixties I’m guessing, but…”
“Sixties! Cal, I know we have a little age gap ourselves but you’re talking old people. I don’t need old people in my life.” Jenny was adamant. “And what kind of job are you talking about? Mashing up their food so they can chew it? Helping them on with their depends?”
Cal sat back and grinned, “Honey, I can promise you’re gonna love ’em. But if Cassie or Sue were to ever hear what you just said, they would rip your heart out and step over your dead body without a qualm.

Against overwhelming odds, Jenny and Cal are together and happy. Their love is strong, but before they can become family Jenny needs to learn what that word means. Jenny has no background in the real meaning of "family" but when Cal wants her to meet his and get to know hers, she knows the time has come. The difference in the two families is wide and jarring. Jenny has a lot to learn, but then so does Cal. When he meets her family, he discovers that the word family doesn't always mean the same thing to all people.

Jenny’s mother has planned a future for her daughter that does not include someone as ordinary as Cal Bennet. What could this small-town hick with no money and no connections do for her? How far will her mother go to see that Jenny accepts a life of high society and prestige? Will these two lovers come to an understanding of what their family will look like?

  3. Yeah, her idea of sixty is almost laughable, though I'm sure that to a girl in her twenties, sixty is ancient.

    1. I remember when I was teaching, the kids were 11 and the oldest people they knew were in their 40's! Jenny has a lot to learn.
