Saturday Spankings - Maybe you should think about this...

Happy beautiful Saturday! You can’t beat Fall where I live. I want to continue with snippets from the sixth in the Cassie’s Space series, Cassie’s Influence. After seeing Allie in the tiniest of bathing suits, Cassie begins thinking back to a time in her early marriage when Tom didn’t approve of the bathing suit she was wearing at one of the conventions they attended.

Tom told her that while it was beautiful, she was not to wear it out again. However, he said that she was could wear it just for him.  Cassie, in a fury cut the bathing suit into pieces and flung them at him. Tom, totally unfazed, gave her a kiss and returned to his meeting.

That’s when Cassie called Sue to go out with her…

Finally, Sue looked and me and said, "Okay, spill it. What's got you so steamed?"

"Tom didn't like my new bathing suit. He said it was inappropriate for a married woman to wear in public."

"Oh good grief!" Sue moaned. "What's his problem? He's more old-fashioned than my granny. That suit looks great on you. Just wear it and tell him to kiss your ass."

"I can't. It's cut up in little pieces," I told her.

"What! That son-of-a-bitch! He didn't? Cassie, you need to kick his ass to the curb."

Sue was angry. I liked her being mad on my behalf, but I told her I was the one who cut it up. She laughed then. "In that case, good for you. But tell me why in the world, after all that, are you going out to find a bathing suit he'll approve of?"

I turned to give Sue a small smile. "Who says he's going to approve of it?"

Sue howled with laughter. "Ahhh… Cassie, I thought for a minute you'd gone soft on me. There's nothing like spitting in the eye of the Tiger."

Blurb:

Intentionally or not, Cassie’s influence spreads. Sue’s marriage has improved through Cassie’s influence. However, when Sue’s marriage unexpectedly takes a turn for the worse, Sue pushes for the solution she feels will work, a solution that could put Cassie on a collision course with the ivory brush.

Allie and Ryan are both feeling influence from Cassie and Tom. Cassie doesn't mean to lead Allie astray - but Allie sees Cassie as a role model. Every adventure, old or new, captures Allie's attention, which increases her desire to be more like her mentor. But for better or worse, Ryan is just as determined to be like Tom.

Saturday Spankings - By the skin of her teeth

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! I’m still in book five of the Cassie’s Space series, Cassie’s Conflict. Cassie is still having problems with Clara from the club. Tom is content to let the lawyers handle everything while Cassie and Sue possibly had other, additional, ideas. Ideas that Cassie wasn’t eager for Tom to discover.

“That woman is unreal, she knows no bounds,” Tom told Steve. “I really think she’s nuts and I’m glad they barred her from the club.” Tom chuckled as he continued, “Her latest wild accusation is that the four of us rolled her yard last week.”
“We did what?” Steve asked, laughing.
“Last Wednesday night she thinks we snuck out in the middle of the night to toilet paper her trees.” Tom laughed again. “We weren’t even here last Wednesday, we were…” Tom stopped talking. Sue and I hadn’t moved a muscle. I could feel Tom’s eyes boring into me as clearly as if he were using a hot poker.
Slowly he repeated, “We… weren’t… here… last… Wednesday. You and Sue stayed here with Drew and Cameron. Two young teenage boys and that was the night Clara’s yard was TPed.”
“Cassie you need to look at my flower beds and help me make some decision,” Sue said, as if we weren’t listening to the boy’s conversation at all.
“Sure, I’ll come look,” I told her as we quickly got to our feet and hurried down the steps, feeling like the hounds of hell were nipping at our heels.
“Hold it right there,” Tom commanded the minute we hit the lawn. We didn’t have a prayer. My heart pounded as all we’d done raced through my head. Tom had told me more times than I cared to count to stay completely away from Clara. We’d drug the children into our foolish, not to mention illegal, activities and I was sure Tom would see TPing someone’s yard in the dead of night as dangerous on many levels. We turned to face Tom. Sue reached quietly to take my hand and we stood united waiting for Tom to continue.
“Cassie Jane, did you actually go to that woman’s home and…”
He stopped talking and I stole a quick glance at him. He was staring at us intently. Abruptly he said, “Never mind, don’t tell me. I don’t want to know.” Turning back to Steve he said, “I think the golf tournament’s still on, lets catch the ending.” And they disappeared into the house.
I felt as if I was rooted to the spot. I slowly turned my head to look at Sue. She looked as stunned as I was.
“That has never happened before,” I told her in wonder as we walked slowly toward Sue’s house. I took a few deep breaths. I know the term, dodging a bullet and I knew I had truly done that very thing, but this one was so close I’d felt the wind as it whizzed by.

Saturday Spankings - Busted

Happy Saturday! I’m hoping that a combination of your boredom and my persistence will lead you to eventually pick up and try one of my Cassie’s Space series. I’m taking a snippet from book five today, Cassie’s Conflict.
A run in with a hateful woman at her club has left Cassie furious and needing a place to vent. She heads to Sue’s where she finds a sympathy ear and a pitchers of martinis. They are well into the martinis when Sue’s husband arrives. Can we agree, Cassie’s Tom is not going to be happy.

Piecing things together later, Steve must have come in somewhere near the end of the second pitcher of martinis. He was there for a milder version of our earlier conversation, still plenty of cursing, threats on Clara’s car and lawn and the occasional song. After standing and listening to us for a relatively short period of time, he went to the other room and called Tom. I heard all about the conversation later.
“Hey, Tom, you home yet?” Steve asked.
“No, I’ll be there in about fifteen minutes. What’s up?”
“Well, I think you better come by our house and collect Cassie first.”
Tom was on instant alert. “What’s wrong? Is she hurt?”
“Oh no,” Steve assured him. “In fact, I would say neither one of our wives is feeling any pain.”
Tom was quiet for a minute then said, “Are you telling me she’s drunk?” Drunk was much too harsh a word. I was a bit tipsy perhaps, but I was not drunk. “I’ll be right there,” Tom went on, not waiting for Steve to say any more. “Did she drive over?”
“Her keys are in my pocket,” he assured Tom. “I stole them right out of her purse before I called you.”

Saturday Spankings - Remember your first time?

Once again it seems that Saturday has rolled around and I’m happy you stopped by. I’m going through all my books from the Cassie’s Space series. This exchange can be found in book four, Cassie’s River Living

Allie and Ryan have just taken the plunge, so to speak, and become sexually active. It’s all so new and exciting Allie has to share with Cassie – the one adult she know will listen without judgement.

“Well, was it what you expected?” Cassie asked.
Allie colored again and said, “Not really. I mean in all the romance novels everything is just perfect. I remember wishing my panties and bra matched,” she told me laughing. “And I was frantically wondering when I’d shaved my legs last.”
I couldn’t help laughing at her. I knew she was telling me exactly what she had been thinking at the time.
“One other thing they don’t really tell you about in the novels. It hurts. I wasn’t really expecting that. But Ryan was so sweet and he was slow and gentle. I didn’t see any fireworks or stuff like they tell you about, but when Ryan… well, when he…” She couldn’t quite get the words out. “Well, I mean after when I saw how much he had enjoyed it, I felt, I don’t know, powerful maybe. It was a really special afternoon. I think I liked talking afterwards the most. It didn’t feel uncomfortable being undressed or anything. It was really nice just to lie there together. But now it doesn’t hurt anymore and now it’s a lot more like the novels say. It’s great. Oh, Cassie, can you remember how wonderful it used to be for you?”
I bristled a bit at the question. “Well considering it was this morning, yes, I can remember quite well, thank you.” Oh my, I shouldn’t have said that, but really.
