I’ve enjoyed this past week, Cassie on
the Move is now out and I’ve had so many people come by and visit as I put up
an old Cassie story. I appreciate everyone who has purchased this book and
gotten it off to a great start.
In today’s snippet from this new book. The
gang is on a cruise and as Cassie is taking care of a slight problem, Sue lets
her know that Tom seems very angry about something. He had cornered the girls
demanding to know where Cassie is. The girls had promised not to tell him what
she was doing and got away from him as soon as they could.
As the girls scattered to the four
corners of the ship to avoid Tom, I finished up and headed back to the suite to
see what had Tom in such a lather. As I walked
in, Tom slammed the phone down, Sue had not been kidding – the man was furious.
“My goodness, Tom, what in the world’s
got you so upset?” I asked in my best
conversational tone. He chose not to answer me,
nor did he come and hug me as he nearly always does, even when he’s mad. He went to the bar and fixed himself a drink,
without asking if I wanted anything, something had him upset for sure. I walked over to him and gave him a kiss, no response. Okay, this was something very big. Since this usually means I am about to be rump
roast, I took a chair far out of reach before I asked again, “What’s wrong?”
Blurb: Cassie on the Move
Cassie’s on the move and loving life. Through paint ball game in the woods and water park adventure she’s gets to know her new neighbors as the new house is renovated.
Cassie is traveling too, from trips with just the girls, to conventions, vacations, and cruises with Tom and friends, she's always ready for the next adventure. But when Cassie begins having dizzy spells Tom thinks a slower pace is in order. Getting Cassie to slow down and take care of herself proves to be quite a challenge. A challenge Tom is more than determined to take on.

ReplyDeleteThis isn't something Cassie has experienced often. I'm sure it was a chilling feeling.
DeleteYep, inquiring mind want to know what's got him in a lather.
ReplyDeleteCassie assures me it couldn't have been her, she didn't do anything wrong. Where have I heard that before?
DeleteOooo man, sitting on her bottom isn't going to protect it I am thinking! Love these two!
ReplyDeleteI guess short of jumping overboard, it was her next best chance.
DeleteOh dear, if a man has to have a drink before he spanks you, your chair should be very far away, like in another state, lol.
ReplyDeleteSteve, you have made a very good point here.
DeleteLOL, I like the beginning. All the girls scattered. Too bad Cassie couldn't. Hm, I wonder what she did now?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Cassie would tell you that she didn't do anything wrong!
DeleteTom needs a spanking for being so sulky, but I imagine he has a good reason to be.
ReplyDeleteHe might think he has a reason, Cassie assures me she's been a perfect angel.
