The A-Z challenge has begun. Come on folks, we can do this!
I think most spanking writers also enjoy some spanking in their real life. What gave you the courage to ask for the first time? I made up my first spanking story around the age of four or five. Forty-five years later I got the courage to ask my husband to give it a try. Maybe if I’d had the Internet or some of your wonderful spanking books when I first got married, I would have gotten my courage up a lot sooner.
I finally got the courage to ask after I got over a painful medical situation. I thought my life was essential over, but the right treatment had me feeling fantastic again. I was given a new life and I wasn’t going to waste it. I came out to my husband as a spanko and fortunately he was thrilled, in addition to being stunned. I’ll always be grateful I got the courage to ASK!
There are so many great blogs participating - I hope you'll be able to read a lot this month.

A is for Awesome! Good for you for asking. It's funny how an illness or other major event can change our priorities. Thanks for being part of the challenge!
ReplyDeleteCeleste - so happy you got this started! I think illness often turns our lives in a different direction. Mine turn was a very happy one.
DeleteHey PK...so happy your health situation was resolved and that you came out to Nick. Very happy he was happy to accommodate your request! ;) We are so lucky to have you here in blogland with us. Will be back for 'B'! ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings...
Cat
Thanks Cat, he was very agreeable, but sometimes he's still seems amazed it all happened.
DeleteHi PK, I agree ... A is for awesome post :) I enjoyed reading this and am so glad your health issue was resolved and that it gave you the push to come out to Nick. So happy for you that he is able to give you what you need.
ReplyDeleteFor us I guess we started with the odd swat here and there then we talked and realised it was something we both wanted to pursue further.
Hugs
Roz
Roz, That would have been a less frightening beginning for me - I was pretty nervous! I guess for me that might have been my first courageous act.
DeleteGreat start to the month!
ReplyDeleteThanks DF!
DeletePK,
ReplyDeleteA is for all, beware!!!
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
Love you Paul!
DeleteGreat A - Asking isn't always getting, as Pork said in Gone With the Wind, but it's better to be out there and sometimes the answer is yes.
ReplyDeleteYou and I both know the truth in this don't we. Although if you don't ask your chances are even lower!
DeleteWhat an inspiring A. Thanks for sharing your story. It's an inspiration to those still afraid.
ReplyDeleteTara, I was afraid for 49 years, I guess I felt that was more than long enough.
DeleteAsk is always a good thing. Funnily enough, my fetishes did not run to spanking until my first one. Then it was like, HELLO!
ReplyDeleteThianna, that's so interesting. I love that it came about in this way.
DeleteAsking is always best. Once you reason through the answer NO, you can usually plunge ahead hoping it is YES!! Glad his answer was YES!!
ReplyDeleteMe to Megan! I went through both sides of the questions and his possible answers for a long time before I really let him in on the secret.
DeleteGreat post and good for you. It's an awful burden to carry, you must feel like a new person. Yeah you!
ReplyDeleteStevie, I honestly think coming out changed who I am. At least I like me better.
Deleteinteresting, PK! I wasn't quite sure what direction you'd be coming from with "asking," but I wanted to read because "asking" is so much a thing in my household. Sometimes I fall into the trap of "Well in fiction, the dom just 'knows'" lol- as my Master is fond of saying, "I'm a man, not a mind reader." But yeah, crazy to think how many of us who spank, TTWD IRL struggle to ask for what I want. Glad you got past the medical issue and asked your husband for what you needed
ReplyDelete"I'm a man, not a mind reader! " Yup i have heard that one before!
DeleteGirls, I too have heard 'I'm not a mind reader'. I think this is a terrible flaw in the make up of men. I want him to read my mind, except, of course, when I don't!
DeleteAsking, wow, so simple in concept, not as easy in principle. Great excerpt.
ReplyDeleteKathy, You've said a mouth full here, so simple and so hard at the same time.
DeleteGreat post PK-- I think so many of us will remember the first time we got the courage to ask for what we wanted!
ReplyDeleteRayanna, I really think that the internet has helped so many. It wasn't around when I was married and I felt pretty alone. I know all of us out here give one another courage.
DeleteI would love to hear more of your story PK. I'm glad you had the courage to ask (and hope all is well with the medical situation). Please share more in the coming days and weeks.
ReplyDeleteX
Natasha, I really do appreciate your interest. I'll be posting more.
DeleteI'm happy that you got through your medical problems and you found the courage to ask your husband.
ReplyDeleteLovely post to start your A-Z.
Love,
Ronnie
xx
Oh boy, Ronnie, me too. My life would be very different now if I hadn't come out. And I wouldn't have you for a friend. I have lucked out!
DeleteThanks for sharing with us, PK! I would love to hear more too!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and hubby!
:)
Thanks Katherine - it's been quite a ride!
DeleteThat's such a lovely inspiring post to begin with. Nice to know there's no harm in asking for something you really want. And that there's no 'right time' to get into spanking.
ReplyDeleteAll it takes is a deep breath and something to hide the sound of your pounding heart! I might have waited later in life, but it did work out.
DeleteI am so glad you asked, because I read your journey for so many years before I connected in a real way with you! So your asking... Helped me connect here 1st with you than blogger world!
ReplyDeleteMinelle,
DeleteI'm so glad you got the courage to reach out too. I treasure our friendship!
I'm so glad that your health is better PK. What a great post. Thanks for sharing a little of your story.
ReplyDeleteIt was really only bad for a short time, but I was terrified. For me my recovery was a true miracle.
DeleteGood for you, PK!!!
