Getting to know Angie Sargenti

Angie!
Thank you so much for being here today. Reading your answers pointed out to me once again why I want to do this series – I had no idea you had written so may books! I’m often surprised at the things I find many of us have in common, other than our favorite ‘hobby’. I also have three cats, do you find yourself keeping a sticky roller in every room?

Now who is…
Angie Sargenti

1.  Give us your basic info, whatever you’re willing to let us know:

I’m happily married to my best friend, Steve, and I have a grown son.  We have three cats running around the place and we all live in central California.  I’ve been writing for a few years now, but it was only recently that I buckled down and got really serious about putting out more books.  I love to cook and I read quite a bit, plus I have a dollhouse I’m  working on.  Other than that, I like to decorate and keep my house all comfortable and cozy.  I guess you’d call me a homebody nowadays, but I do enjoy traveling when I get the chance.  I’m not working right now, except for writing, but I used to be a Child Support Officer.  I’m also a veteran and have lived in a bunch of different states.  I once    owned a catering company and I have a Bachelor’s degree in business.  I guess that’s about it.

2.  When did you first realize that you were interested in the idea of spanking?

When I was a child.  I used to write little stories about a girl named Caroline.  She was always in trouble.

3.  Are you in a relationship that includes spanking? How would you describe it?

We do enjoy spanking, but it’s all for fun, not discipline.

4.  Were you spanked as a child? Whether yes or no, do you think this affected your interest?

Yes, I was spanked, but my father spanked us way too hard.  It affected me in that I thought of spanking as just a fantasy, not something I’d want to do in real life.  I only decided to try it for real about seven years ago.

5.  Did you, do you, or might you use spanking with your own children?

I only spanked my son once when he was fifteen, because he was a very rebellious teen and I didn’t know what else to do any more.

6.  When did you first begin writing spanking stories?

            Always.

7.  How comfortable are you with people in your real life knowing that you write spanking    fiction? Does everyone know, a select few, or do you try to keep it private?

I’m not sure who knows, besides my husband.  I don’t try to hide it, but I don’t go advertising it to everyone, either.

8.  Some people don’t like to be labeled in only one area, but do you feel your writing is in a particular category?

I guess I’d have to say just general erotica or spanking romance, because I write so many   different things.  For example, one of my upcoming Blushing Books novels is a Regency, and another is a vampire one with menage a trois included.

9.  Do you think you might someday like to branch out and write something totally different, either within the spanking fiction world or something else completely?

For a long time now, I’ve been working on a young adult novel (no spanking), but I am stuck and don’t know what to do with it.

10.  How attached do you get to your characters? Do you know what happens after the book ends?

I do get attached, but there is always a happy ending, so the people get married or, in the case of “The Cowboy and the Mail-Order Bride” they start having babies.

11.  Describe your ‘perfect’ writing day.

My perfect writing day would be rainy (so I wouldn’t be distracted by good weather) and I’d really be in the zone.  I’d write at least three thousand words and would feel pleasantly exhausted by the end of the day.

12.  When did you first begin publishing? What caused you to jump in at that moment in time?

I got sick of hiding my writing in a drawer and just wishing I was a real writer.  I think the first thing I had published was in 2007.

13.  With so many wonderful writers here I can get confused as to who writes what. Would you list all the books you’ve published so far. I’m assuming most can be purchased through Amazon and Barnes and Noble, but let us know where else your books are available.

Some of books are available at All Romance Ebooks, some at Blushing Books.  As far as I know, all of them are available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.  Here is a list of the books I wrote, but I am also in a lot of anthologies,
