Happy Saturday to you all.
Today I get to share the cover, and a snippet from my newest Cassie book, Cassie’s Conflicts.
The new club/spa has finally
opened in Cassie and Tom’s community. The club is great, but there is one club
member, Clara, who seems to be in conflict with everyone. Clara and Cassie had a
run in one afternoon when Cassie tried to defend the young workers at the club
from Clara’s unfair comments. Clare calls Cassie ‘Granny’ and intentionally
bumps Cassie as she leaves the room. Cassie barely manages to contain her fury
until she gets to Sue’s. Sue’s help comes in the form of a couple of pitchers
of martinis.
Steve must have come in somewhere near the end of the second
pitcher of martinis to a milder version of our earlier conversation, still
plenty of cursing, threats on Clara’s car and lawn and the occasional song.
After standing and listening to us for a relatively short period of time he
went to the other room and called Tom.
“Hey Tom, you home yet?” Steve asked.
“No, I’ll be there in about fifteen minutes, what’s up?”
“Well, I think you better come by our house and collect Cassie
first.”
Tom was on instant alert, “What’s wrong, is she hurt?”
“Oh no,” Steve assured him. “In fact I would say neither one of our
wives is feeling any pain.”
Tom was quiet for a minute then said, “Are you telling me she’s
drunk?” Drunk was much too harsh a word,
I was a bit tipsy perhaps, but I was not drunk.
Tom’s
not going to be happy. Poor Cassie doesn’t seem to be able to get away with
anything. Of course that never stops her from trying. Cassie’s
Conflicts will be out early in January.
Blurb
Cassie
is one busy lady. The new country club has opened and the whole gang is
enjoying all the amenities. That is until a new club member, Clara, begins to
ride roughshod over everyone. The
situation worsens until it becomes physical, but even that doesn’t stop it.
Cassie
seems to find little conflicts everywhere she turns, but it’s not always her
fault. Tom is over protective about her health, sending Cassie into a tantrum.
An annoying woman seems to be after Tom and a few things happen on the girl’s
trip that lands her in even more hot water.
But through it all Tom is there to love and protect Cassie in his unique
way.
I hope you'll give the Cassie books a read.
Each book stands on it's own so you can really jump in anywhere.

I love that euphemism 'tipsy' for drunk. At least for me, if I'm tipsy, I'm drunk. I think Cassie is going to end up with a red bottom!
ReplyDeleteCassie has had years to master the art of denial and she doesn't like the word 'drunk'. As for the red bottom, I think you're right.
DeletePK,
ReplyDeleteI just wrote a comment and blogger ate it.
When will your new book with the great cover be ready? I hate waiting.
Meredith
I hate waiting too - look for it around January 5.
DeletePK,
DeleteThat is a month away.
Ugh!
Meredith
That's awesome PK! Love the cover :) uh oh, there's trouble brewing for Cassie's poor butt!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Roz
I love the cover too Roz, I've never really had the chance to show any skin before. Let's just say Tom won't be happy with her day's activities.
DeleteYeah another Cassie book! I love the new cover. I never get tired of Cassie's adventures.
ReplyDeleteAmyee
Thanks Amyee, I hope you don't. She's still telling me stories and I hope to share even more.
DeleteLove the cover, looking forward to the read. Cassie & her friends always make me laugh.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leigh, they give me hope for old age.
DeleteAnother red bottom for Cassie.
ReplyDeleteSuper cover and I can't wait for it to come out. Thanks for the excerpt.
Love,
Ronnie

I think you're right about poor Cassie. I'm glad you like the cover, hope you'll like the book.
DeleteCongratulations PK!!! How wonderful! I really cover and enjoyed the snippet very much!
ReplyDeleteUh Oh on Cassie and the drinking!! There is a spanking in the air! Looking forward to reading this in the future! Many hugs,
<3 Katie
supposed to read *really LOVE the cover* :)
DeleteCassie enjoys drinking with Sue nearly as much as Tom hates her doing it.
DeleteYou didn't have to worry about the correction - I can read 6th grade!
A hung-over spanking. Ugh! Poor Cassie!
ReplyDeleteCan you be hung over from being tipsy? You're right, poor Cassie.
DeleteYou can be hung over from being tipsy. I've experienced that lol!
ReplyDeleteCassie is in for a spanking...no doubt about it. The threats to the Clara alone would do it for Tom!
I adore Cassie anyway!
Congrats again!!
I'm afraid you're right. Both about the hangover and about the spanking! I'm glad you like Cassie, I hope you'll like this book.
DeleteMassaging the truth, such an art form and Cassie is perfect at it. I'm assuming Tom's unique way will be brought to bear.
ReplyDeleteLove the cover, they would make such a wonderful art collection.
Yes Cassie has had practice. I love all my covers too! Thanks DF
DeleteNice cover!! Tipsy is a much better word...
ReplyDeleteThanks Renee! Doesn't tipsy sound so much nicer.
