In this snippet from Cassie’s Conflicts,
Cassie, Sue, Annie and Allie are still on their girl’s trip and the women were
horrified when Allie comes in sporting a tramp stamp tattoo. They are so
relieved when she finally tells them it’s a henna that Cassie and Sue overindulge
while celebration at dinner that night. Passing the tattoo shop on their way
home Cassie and Sue can’t resist…
Sue and I headed
into the tattoo parlor leaving our somewhat clearer thinking friends to scramble
after us in a panic.
“What are you
doing?” Allie asked in a frightened tone.
“We’re all getting your tattoo,” I
told her.
“Who’s this ‘we’
shit you’re talking about?” Annie whispered. “I’m not doing anything of
the kind!”
“Yes you are!” Sue
maintained, taking her arm. “You can’t be chicken shit all your life. It’ll
come off! It will come off won’t it?” Sue asked again, turning to Allie. “Hell,
your husband doesn’t even spank!” Sue told Annie a little louder than
necessary.
Really, could Tom really mind a henna tattoo? Come back next week to see what he thinks.

Blurb : Cassie is one busy lady. The new country club/spa has opened and the whole gang is enjoying all the amenities. That is until a new club member, Clara, begins to ride roughshod over everyone. The situation worsens until it becomes physical, but even that doesn’t stop it.
Cassie seems to find little conflicts everywhere she turns, but it’s not always her fault. Tom is over protective about her health, sending Cassie into a tantrum. In addition, a few things happen on the girl’s trip that lands Cassie, as well as the other ladies, in even more hot water. Through it all Tom is there to love and protect Cassie in his own unique way.
I hope you'll give all the Cassie books a read.

LOL, what happens on vacation stays on vacation, right?
ReplyDelete;)
It would have if Cassie hadn't decided to tattoo it all over her back.
DeleteOh the trouble! Lol! That was awesome. Too much. :D
ReplyDeleteTom was not pleased.
DeleteIs this why we got tatoos in LV. :-)
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it...
DeleteTwo girlfriends and I had this idea once that we were all going to get a piercing. My husband won't allow a tattoo.. :( It's his one thing - so piercing and I figured I'd beg forgiveness rather than ask permission...so the three of us went to a Mexican place, drank a few margaritas (well the two of us who were chicken did at least, the other one had to drive) then went and got our belly buttons pierced. The one who was driving got something else pierced OUCH! And it turned out I didn't even have to beg forgiveness. Hubby loved it!! So I'm relating to Cassie here...
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad he liked it - getting forgiveness could have been painful too! Tom had a real objection, but not exactly to the tattoo.
DeleteI see the writing clearly...... Poor Cassie!
ReplyDeleteTom did have his own take on it.
DeleteLOL-I love it!! "It will come off wont it?" I feel like I've lived this scene.
ReplyDeleteYep, I think a few of us have!
DeleteOo, I want to know wht the tattoo is! These girls sound like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI know, I would love to go on a trip with these girls!
DeleteLoL, love this! These girls are definitely trouble ... and about to be 'in' trouble I suspect lol
ReplyDeleteHugs
Roz
They were all in trouble - and all for different reasons, but most reasons related back to the tattoos. I thought it was interesting how each man reacted. You can see Tom's reaction next week.
DeleteI think I can guess what Tom thinks :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're right, but each of the guys was upset for different reasons.
DeleteGreat snippet, well done!
