I've am enjoying the A to Z blog
hop and I hope you all are too, whether you are writing or just
hopping around reading. But today it's back to Saturday Spankings. This snippet
is from Cassie on the Move. All the Cassie books can be read
independently, but you'll get to know everyone better if you start with
Cassie's Space.
Tom makes the decision to return
to work part time and Cassie is both hurt and angry. She realizes she won’t be
able to change his mind and she tries to keep her temper. However, when Tom
spends more than an hour on a conference call the very day he gets home from a
short business trip, Cassie’s had it. She hops on the boat and takes off.
Later, when Tom finally tracks her down at a riverside café, no one is happy.
The waitress held out a cordless phone with a sympathetic
look, good grief, if I had my phone off you would think Tom could take a hint.
Although I was clearly the one with a right to be angry his
first words were, “I’m going to wear you out. You better stay right where you are,
Chris and I will come get you – I don’t want you driving the boat home.”
That flew all over me. “I got here by myself and when I get
damn good and ready I’ll get myself home,” I told him sharply. “I suppose I
need to get used to doing things on my own.” I could tell Tom was angry, but I
was angrier.
“You come if you want to, but I won’t be here!” and with
that I hung up, quickly paid my bill and took off once again.Blurb: Cassie on the Move
Cassie’s on the move and loving life. Through paint ball game in the woods and water park adventure she’s gets to know her new neighbors as the new house is renovated.
Cassie is traveling too, from trips with just the girls, to conventions, vacations, and cruises with Tom and friends, she's always ready for the next adventure. But when Cassie begins having dizzy spells Tom thinks a slower pace is in order. Getting Cassie to slow down and take care of herself proves to be quite a challenge. A challenge Tom is more than determined to take on.

Check out everyone's great snippets today!
Oh I loved this snippet PK. I love a battle of who's angrier :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Constance, even I don't know who is angrier this time.
DeleteI'm kind of sad that they are fighting. Fighting always upsets me for some reason. Good thing is they will work it out, I know. :)
ReplyDeleteTo tell the truth Natasha, it greatly upsets Cassie too. She does not like fighting with Tom, but that temper of hers gets in the way.
DeletePK,
ReplyDeletehave you a name for volume four of Cassie's adventures,
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
I have a tentative one - do you have a good idea?
DeleteLove this snippet!!! I love reading the makeup scenes and I"m betting this one's a dozie!
ReplyDeleteTrue, but it may take a while to get there.
DeleteOhhh... I've never seen this couple angry at each other yet. I bet Cassie's really got one coming for this one.
ReplyDeleteTom's the calm one usually and despite how much Cassie loves him, her temper does get away with her occasionally.
DeleteShe has taking off down to an art. Just love her spunk
ReplyDeleteShe has had years of practice.
DeleteLove that chemistry!
ReplyDeleteThey may be madly in love, but that doesn't mean the sparks don't fly at times.
DeletePK,
ReplyDeleteI want to read the book so no snippets for me:)
Love,
Ronnie
xx
As long as you tell me what you think of it someday.
DeleteI love the expression "wear you out"!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Cassie doesn't! But then she hears it way too often.
DeleteOh, this was a good one, PK. Tom's going to wear her out...yikes!
ReplyDeleteCassie running off angers Tom nearly as much as being lied to. But this one does have a twist.
DeleteUh-oh!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou said it!
DeleteI love how sassy she is!! These two are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteCassie will probably never been tamed - and Tom will never stop trying.
DeleteArguments are never good, but I think they're going to be making up soon!
ReplyDeleteNot as fast as Tom would have liked.
DeleteI wonder why it always is the temper of the girl that gets her in trouble. I'm sure the is no connection whatsoever with the writer. ;-) Made a mental note to put your books on my TBR-list.
ReplyDeleteWho me? I have no temper at all, I'm always sweet and agreeable. It's true, I would never tell a lie.
DeleteGotta run, I'm dodging lightening!
If you get the chance to read I'd love to know what you think of the books.
oh how fun. I love Cassie here, PK. Her temper and her word choice are great, even if they're getting her in more trouble with Tom.
ReplyDeleteTom may spank, but Cassie is rarely intimidated by him or anyone else. I love that about her.
Deleteyeah, that is a great thing about Cassie. I love the bottom, wherever ze is in TTWD, who isn't a door mat. lol- makes me think of the many times I've had people tell me they couldn't imagine me as a sub- that often comes from people who've never seen me with my Master :D
DeleteA real test of wills. She might be angrier, but I'll bet he has the last word.
ReplyDeleteThis encounter didn't turn our exactly as you would expect.
DeleteOh boy, I know she will regret the flash of temper. Sitting soon will be painful, but all will end happily as always!
ReplyDeleteLOL, you'll have to read the book to see how this turned out.
DeleteLOL, I am on Cassie's side! Why shouldn't she be able to go out and eat in a restaurant without being hunted down? I'd be pretty annoyed myself! :D
ReplyDeleteLeaving on the boat with out telling him she's going is high on Tom - do not do list (and it seems to be a long list). But I'm with you and Cassie.
DeleteGreat snippet PK. ! Oh boy, fireworks ahead! Something tells me they won't stay angry with each other for too long :)
ReplyDeleteHugs
