Saturday Spankings - April 26

I’m off on a short trip this weekend, but I didn’t want to miss Saturday Spankings. I’ll be back Sunday and I’ll get to read all your snippets and answer my comments.
I have the release date for Cassie on the Move – it will be out on May 29, and today’s snippet is from this new book. Cassie is feeling good again, but as Christmas approaches she finds herself alone for hours every afternoon. Never one to be ignored for long, she finds a way to get Tom’s attention. Now I’d never call Cassie a brat, maybe high spirited…

The second the shower went off I made my move. I’d filled the largest tumbler I could find with ice-cold water and just as the warm shower went off I reached up and poured the cold water over Tom. Oh my, you should have heard him bellow. I was off like a shot and I didn’t stop until I reached the end of the hall and rounded the corner.
I stole a quick glance round the corner to see if I was being followed. Towel clutched at his waist, dripping wet, and scowling my dear husband stalked toward me.
“Cassie Jane, I’m going to wear you out, what’s gotten into you?”
I know I should have at least pretended to be contrite, but he looked so funny scowling and dripping that I couldn’t stop laughing.

BlurbCassie on the Move

Cassie’s on the move and loving life. Through paint ball game in the woods and water park adventure she’s gets to know her new neighbors as the new house is renovated.
Cassie is traveling too, from trips with just the girls, to conventions, vacations, and cruises with Tom and friends, she's always ready for the next adventure. But when Cassie begins having dizzy spells Tom thinks a slower pace is in order. Getting Cassie to slow down and take care of herself proves to be quite a challenge. A challenge Tom is more than determined to take on.

If you're not familiar with Cassie and her friends her are her first two books. They can be found at Amazon and Blushing Books.

Cassie continues to live life to the fullest, from wheeling around in her new sports car to mastering the art of riding a motor scooter with no hands, she manages to keep Tom on his toes. The fly in the ointment is that Tom’s firm wants him back for a project and Cassie wants him all to herself.  When Tom takes the job, Cassie is left lonely and bored – never a good combination for her.
Left to her own devices Cassie makes some poor decisions, frightening Sue and causing Tom to lower the boom. Tom's new schedule for Cassie, including her getting a job, leaves her little time to get herself in trouble – yet she still manages.

Meet Cassie, a former wild child, who meets her match, and creates the match of a lifetime. To nearly all who know her now, Cassie is a vivacious, sweet southern lady, who is the epitome of grace and proper behavior. Look a tiny bit closer and you’ll see that Cassie has another side – the one whose language could make a sailor blush as she drinks him under the table.
Thanks to her loving husband Tom, who even after thirty years of marriage, never hesitates to put Cassie over his knee when she strays too far from his view of ladylike behavior, few people other than close old friends know this side of Cassie exists.
Cassie and Tom show that love and passion are not the sole property of the young. Love and passion grows and changes with age. While aging may bring on challenges – the love and passion between these two people only grows stronger.

Liebster Award!

*I'm putting this same post up here and at New Beginnings too. I know I have some friends that read both places.

Thank you Celeste Jones for nominating me! I enjoy answering questions and I thank you for the opportunity.

Here are the rules:

1.Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog.
2.Display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”. (Note that the best way to do this is to save the image to your own computer and then upload it to your blog post.)
3.Answer 11 questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.
4.Provide 11 random facts about yourself.
5.Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have less than 1000 followers. (Note that you can always ask the blog owner this since not all blogs display a widget that lets the readers know this information!)
6.Create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.
7.List these rules in your post. Once you have written and published it, you then have to:
8.Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster award and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it (they might not have ever heard of it!)

Here are Celeste's questions for me:

What is your fantasy vacation?

I love cruises. I think I would like to cruise to Bermuda, spend a week there and cruise home.

Cats or Dogs?

I worked for seven years as a veterinary technician, so I’m a true animal lover. We had a beautiful Golden Retriever for ten years and he was so loved. But I’d have to say now I’m a cat person. They are soft, cuddly and you can leave them for the weekend without the need of a babysitter.

What's your favorite breakfast?

Scrambled eggs, bacon, grits and a side of pancakes.

What's your guilty pleasure?

Weekends alone! I love my husband more than you can imagine, but I do enjoy the weekends he goes golfing. I eat what I like, stay up until 2:00 am, sleep late, and just totally relax.

What's your favorite thing about blogging?

Absolutely the people I’ve met. I love the contact with people who understood my love for spanking and I didn’t judge. Being able to talk about that openly made me feel totally free and accepted here.

What's your least favorite thing about blogging?

It takes a lot of time and at times I feel I get obsessed with it.

If you could go back in time to your 18 year old self, what message would you give yourself?

When you fall in love trust yourself and trust him. Tell him what turns you on sexually, don’t wait until you’re fifty for heaven sakes!

If you had a day to do whatever you wanted, what would you do?

I really love spending the day writing.

What advice do you have for someone who is new to blogging?

If you want people to come read your blog and leave comments you need to go to their sites and leave comments. Even before I began blogging I left comments and made wonderful friends.

What is one of your pet peeves?

School administrators who are twenty years my junior, and have taught one forth the time I have telling me how I should be teaching.

What are some of the challenges of keeping your life as a spanking blogger/writer a secret?

I worried about it the first few years and simply never mentioned it to anyone besides my husband. Now I don’t feel I have to hide. I’m not going to send my boss a copy of one of my books, but everyone out here has helped me realize that there is nothing wrong with what I choose to do or to write.  My children are grown and I’ll retire soon. No reason to think of it as a secret any longer.

Eleven random facts about myself:

1. If they were alive, my maternal grandparents would be 140 and 134.

2. I wore a size 4 wedding dress – I rapidly got over it.

3. I’ve worn glasses since the forth grade.

4. I didn’t enjoy reading until I was nearly a teenager.

5. I used to want twelve kids – I got over that too.

6. I’ve only applied for three jobs in my life, got all three.

7. Given my choice I like to stay up very late.

8. I knew I was interested in spanking before the age of five, I came out to Nick at forty-nine.

9. I had never written a thing before I wrote my first Cassie story in 2006.

10. Many of ‘Tom’s’ idea of how a lady should behave come, straight from my mother.

11. The day I came out to Nick I started sleeping in the nude and I still do.

I’m going to nominate Grace from A Day in the LifeAmi from Ami’s Starsong, and Terpsichore from A Place to Share. If any of you have been nominated before, forgive me. And send me the link to your answers.

And here are their 11 questions:

1. If money were no object, how many children would you have had?
2. What were some of your favorite books when you were a child?
3. Do you (or your husband) have any nude pictures of you?
4. If you had to pick a state (not the one you live in now) in the US, what state would you choose.
5. How does spanking work in your relationship?
6. What’s your best marriage advice?
7. What’s your best parenting advice?
8. How would you feel if your daughter told you she wanted to be in a spanking relationship?
9. How many different countries have you been to?

10. What’s your dream job?
11. Do you think spanking is a possible parenting tool?

Saturday Spankings - April 19

Happy Easter and welcome to Saturday Spankings. I’m excited! First I have all next week off and second Cassie on the Move comes out next month. Check below for the new cover. My eight, (okay nine – but I’m trying) sentences today are from this new book. Tom and Cassie often cross swords when Cassie doesn’t share with Tom that she is not feeling well. After Cassie’s passes out and has to spend the night in the hospital, Tom confiscates her keys until “he knows she’s feeling better”. Cassie put up with it for a few days, but her frustration is mounting. At breakfast a few days after she comes home from the hospital that frustration boils over.

“ Give me my keys, I’m not your prisoner.”
“I’m assuming you’re well enough to discuss why you hid the fact that you weren’t feeling well from me,” Tom said quietly.
I knew it wasn’t in my best interest to continue being hateful, but I’m afraid that didn’t stop me. “ Good grief, Tom, I’m in my sixties, if I tell you every time I have an ache or pain we won’t have time to talk about anything else.” I was definitely releasing some inner frustration and Tom did not like my tone.
He asked, “Are you sure this is the way you want this conversation to go?”
I’d gotten up to take my dishes to the counter and I turned back and yell at him, “I don’t want this conversation to go anywhere, I want my damn keys!”
I know, I know – I’d yelled a bit, and cussed just a little, but I did not break the glass on purpose, it was just that everything seemed to happen at once. When I sat my plate down, maybe a tiny bit hard, my glass fell into the sink and shattered.

Hmmm… may not be the best way for Cassie to get what she wants.

Saturday Spankings - April 12

I’m glad it’s Saturday again, I had a hard week and I’m ready to lose myself in some snippets out here. I’m putting up some snippets this month from the newest Cassie book, Cassie on the Move. I thought I’d just stick with where I left off last week. Catching Cassie thinking about sneaking the ivory brush out of Tom’s bag before they head out on vacation, he had told her in on uncertain terms not to touch his suitcase or the brush again. She listened, as always, and touched neither bag nor brush as she slipped out all his underwear. Cassie woke the next morning to hear…

“Cassie Jane! What did you do?”
Why does he always blame me?
“Where is my underwear?” he thundered.
“Is it my job to keep up with your drawers?” I murmured, trying to hide my laughter in the pillow. By this time I was being pulled over his lap and a slipper was being applied to my rear with vigor.
“I told you not to touch my suitcase.”
“I didn’t,” I challenged “I never touched your old suitcase. I just lifted the underwear right out.” He had got to stop spanking me when I am laughing so hard – the two extremes cannot be good for me.
“You get dressed, we’re going shopping, I can’t believe you.” He was sounding all stern and serious, but his eyes were twinkling. I couldn’t stop rubbing or laughing, at least I was laughing until I started to put on my panties and Tom said, “Oh no, hand them over.”

I hope you'll get to know Cassie and her friends through the first two books as I wait anxiously for this third one.
