Saturday Spankings - Reconnecting

I’m happy to be back for another Saturday Spankings. Suspicions on the River is off and running. I’ll be at the Blushing Books Sizzle Party on April 6, from 1:30 – 1:45. Please come by if you’d like to chat for a bit.

In today’s snippet Cal has just spanked Jenny for pushing him in the river and losing it over unfounded jealously. But mostly Jenny needs the connection to make her feel Cal will always be hers.

Finally, Jenny looked up. Cal’s dark brown eyes were filled with love. Between the spanking and the look she saw on his face, Jenny was beginning to believe everything he’d been saying.

“Will you make love to me?” she asked, hardly above a whisper. She knew Cal didn’t like to mix punishment with pleasure. But this was different. She needed him, she needed to feel she belonged to him. Cal kissed her deeply and pulled her shirt over her head. He unclasped her bra and tossed it away. He pulled her to him again and caressed her back.

“I want it hard, Cal. I don’t want foreplay, I don’t want tenderness – I want you to take me hard and fast as if you owned every piece of me. Please.”

Cal nodded. He was aware that she needed this sometimes even though he didn’t fully understand it.

He placed Jenny on the bed, then peeled off his damp shirt and, with a bit more difficulty, his wet jeans. Jenny had eased over on her side. Her ass throbbed and she was avoiding contact with the spread. One sharp look from Cal and she rolled back, hissing slightly from the pain.

Then he was standing beside her – nude and gorgeous! His erection was magnificent. Looking at it, she often wondered how she could take in all of him. Though she knew they fit together perfectly. She reached a hand out to stroke him. Cal let her fingers graze him a moment before he clamped down on her wrist with a firm grip.

“Who’s in charge here?” he asked.

“You. You are,” she answered.

Cal was on his knees, between her legs, and still towering over her when he reached to grasp her other wrist. His face was directly above her. “You’re mine. You’re all I want – ever. If you doubt me again you’ll feel my belt or the oak paddle. Do you understand?”

Suspicions on the river (a Cassie’s family story)

Book three in the On the River series

Cal and Jenny have a nearly idyllic marriage. There are rare trips across his lap for minor problems, but most of those trips are just for fun. Could that be changing? Pat, Cal’s former lover, has moved back to town and she wouldn’t mind giving it another try with Cal. She feels he can’t be serious about this little twit that he married so quickly. Pat feels that once Cal realizes she offers him a better option, he’ll choose her. But soon mysterious things begin happening to Pat. Is someone trying to run her out of town? Could that someone be Jenny?

Cassie and the whole river family try to keep Jenny occupied and out of trouble, but suspicions just go from bad to worse. Both Jenny and Pat want Cal and they’re willing to fight for him. How dirty will this fight get?

Donna Steele - one of my favorite writers

While I'm talking about books and reading and all, I wanted to give another plug to a fellow writer and good friend of mine, Donna Steele. I've been reading Donna forever and she is a fantastic writer! If only I could get her to add a little spanking into her books they would be perfect. I've posted about some of her work before.

She writes in several genres. She really like science fiction - which is not my cup of tea. But she does make it work. Nothing's too far out there. She makes it all believable. I've read all three of these books and they're great. If you enjoy a good story, try these! I'll let Donna introduce her work.

Depending on where you live, pick the picture that feels right!

I’m very excited about my new series – Unknown Tasks. Brandy knows things and can do things that are hard to understand, but that’s her task. Now Jason has become her task, the most complicated she’s been assigned so far. The other difference, Jason himself. Brandy has never been drawn to someone she worked to protect before. Did her taskmasters plan that or even see it coming?

Jason has been on the run for nearly six months and he’s at the end of his rope, and money. Ducking into Brandy’s café certainly wasn’t planned. So why does it seem she’s waiting for him?

Follow Brandy and Jason in this new series. Book One – Baked Goods and Book Two – Decoding Corruption are available now through Amazon and KU. Book Three – Accounting for Evil will be out in July.

Excerpt -

This was shaping up to be her most complicated and multi-tiered assignment yet. Letting her employers down was not an option, and so many people would be affected by what could be accomplished, even her new friends, Paige and Lindsay. It would have been nice to be able to talk to someone about this job–her life-long friends Kip or Nat, even O. That wasn’t a possibility. They had their own assignments.

Brandy had friends here, yet she was still all alone. Now was not a good time to become overwhelmed.

She could feel him now. He was close. He had taken some time to arrive here, but Brandy became more aware as he approached her location. His pace had given her time to prepare for him, construct the infrastructure she now had. She wasn’t able to see his face yet, but his body was that of a man in his prime, despite whatever he was going through. He was definitely hungry, that was easy enough to pick up on, but he couldn’t allow that to slow him down. Little slowed this man down, but she could tell he was burdened, nearing the end of his rope.

Why did she still not know what constituted that rope?

He was the main reason she was here and had created a more permanent living arrangement—much more than any previous task she’d been assigned. It had been a busy time since rescuing Jen from Keith back in Tennessee. Instead of a single motel room, Brandy now had what, to her, was an elaborate setup.

Others would benefit as well. This task was multi-faceted and seemed to be of highest importance to her employers. She would do what she could to help all of them. They had put a lot into this, more than she was accustomed to.

Jason observed the bus driver closely as he left the driver’s seat and stepped out onto the sidewalk. The driver stretched quickly, then, shivering from the cold, hurried inside the small storefront which also served as the depot for this town. If anyone was waiting for the bus, they were doing it inside where there was some heat.

This wasn't the end of the ticket Jason had purchased, though he'd never intended to go the whole way. If the people looking for him knew he was traveling by bus, they no doubt had someone waiting at that destination. At least they hadn’t been pulled over yet, so maybe he was ahead of them. He just knew he wasn’t safe yet, if ever. No tingling on the back of his neck currently alerted him of danger, though he expected it any second. There was never a time to let down his guard.

Women Strong Enough For Love

Donna writes science fiction, paranormal and small town romances about women coming into their strength and having the courage to find and accept love.

Now that she has retired from going into an office every day, she created an office at home and writes full time. Talk about living the dream!

She was the girl at the party who was yearning for the quiet corner and a book to read (go Rory Gilmore!) and has been writing in her head since she learned to read. Getting those stories down on paper (or in her laptop) has been more fun than she ever imagined it could be.

The possibilities of science fiction have always drawn her, and she’s read them all, there just needed to be a little more romance in them. She finally got up the courage to write them herself and is delighted to be able to share these stories with you.

She is a member of Romance Writers of America and the Heart of Carolina Romance Writers.

Saturday Spanking - Suspicions on the River

Welcome to an exciting Saturday Spanking! I’m so happy to announce that the new book, Suspicions on the River, is now available. If you’ve never read one of my books before, please jump right in. Although it’s a series, it’s also just fine as a stand-alone read.

When Jenny hears that Cal has taken an old girlfriend out to lunch and never mentioned it to her, she’s mad. And Jenny’s not one to hide her anger. She definitely let that temper get away from her and Cal’s not putting up with it.

“You’re starting to make me mad,” Cal told her, trying to keep his voice calm. He came around in front of her and held her shoulders so she couldn’t turn away.

“Jenny, how on earth could you think for a minute that I’d be interested in another woman when I’ve got you?”

Jenny said nothing. After a moment, she looked up into Cal’s face. Her face was grim and unsmiling. Without giving any warning of her intentions, she punched him in the ribs with such force that he grunted and bent over slightly grabbing his middle. Then, Jenny still filled with intense anger, shoved him so hard that he landed in the water. She was nearly as surprised as Cal was with what she’d done. She spun and ran toward the house.

Cal was ready to explode as he sloshed from the water and ran toward Jenny. As he quickly caught up, he grabbed her, tossed her over his shoulder and continued toward the house with Jenny yelling at him every step of the way, “You bastard, son-of-a-bitch, mother-fu…”

Jenny received a hard swat, which cut off her cursing momentarily. With her still over his shoulder, Cal paused in the kitchen to grab a towel and dry his phone before heading to the bedroom. He took Jenny to the armless chair and quickly placing her across his lap. Her shouting and cussing had resumed.

He wasted no time pulling her shorts and panties down to her knees and began with such a harsh hand Jenny was no longer able to shout but was nearly gasping for breath. Cal was angry, but very much in control. After ten extremely hard swats, he paused.

“Are you ready to talk about this like two sensible people?” he asked.

Jenny was dangling over his lap, a spanking position she particularly hated. One hand was helping her keep her balance. With the other she grabbed Cal’s leg and pinched viciously.

Cal jerked his leg away. “Fine,” he shouted. “I can go as long as you like!”

Saturday Spankings - Spanking questions

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! I’m giving you a double today. I’m including two snippets from Returning to Us, my Corbin’s Bend contribution. But beginning next week I’ll begin posting from my latest book Suspicions on the River, which should be out March 17. If Returning to us had sparked your interest I hope you’ll get a copy and finish it.

In this first snippet, Susan and her friend Venia are talking with another young writer friend.  Megan is definitely interested in the lifestyle but terribly embarrassed to discuss it. When she finally begins talking, Venia and Susan are more than happy to explain.

Megan obviously wanted to ask more questions. But she was so uncomfortable and embarrassed. She had her knees pulled up to her chin and her arms wrapped around them as she leaned against the headboard. “But…but doesn’t it hurt?” she finally managed to say, in a small voice.

Susan and Venia laughed together. “Do spankings hurt? Good grief, yes! And they can also feel wonderful – and that can be the very same spanking!” Venia confirmed.

“Don’t you get mad?” Megan wanted to know.

“No, I really don’t. Like I said, most of my spankings are for fun. When I have done something that really upsets Jeffery, I feel guilty and I’m more sorry than angry.”

“I sometimes get angry,” Susan admitted. “Since we’re just now getting back into it, there are days when I don’t feel very submissive and so I can get mad, but it doesn’t last long. Like Venia, sometime I realize I’m madder at myself than Hal.”

Megan sat up straighter, as if something Susan said had struck a nerve. “That’s what I wonder about too! Submission! I’m forty years old, I’m raising two daughters and I want them to be strong and independent. I can’t do that and turn into a doormat.”

Venia grinned, “Do I seem like a doormat to you?”

Megan looked at Venia and finally smiled. “No, not in any way. That’s why I’m confused. You’re not a meek, timid person. So I can’t picture you letting your husband spank you.”

“I’m not sure you could find a meek or timid woman in all of Corbin’s Bend. I think it’s our very strength that allows us to accept, to crave, this lifestyle. We can take on the world. But there is such comfort in knowing that there is someone who is strong enough to catch us when we need to fall into their arms.”

In this second snippet, Susan has become more and more despondent about Hal’s lack of follow through. Her mentor, Quincy is worried about her and insist that they talk.

Susan sighed and followed her up to what had been Quincy’s home before she’d married Henry. She kept it as a peaceful meeting place for anyone who needed it. There were always snacks and a coffee pot at the ready.

Quincy waited until they both had a mug of coffee, then she sat at the table. She seemed to be waiting for Susan to speak. Finally, Susan said, “How have you been, Quincy?”

“I’m fine,” she stated. “However, it seems you’ve gone underground. I never see you out anymore. You’ve been here a while now. How are things going with you?”

“Fine with me too. I’m busy and haven’t been getting out as much, but everything’s fine,” Susan insisted.

Quincy didn’t look convinced, she looked concerned. Susan felt the urge to run. If Quincy said something kind or sweet she would break. She could feel the slight burning in her eyes, warning of tears.

No! she told herself fiercely. She sipped her coffee and forced a smile to her face.

Her mentor wasn’t having it. “Please tell me what’s bothering you. Maybe I can help.”

“Nothing’s wrong. Hal’s very happy. He’s…”

“I didn’t ask about Hal. I asked about you.”

It wasn’t going to work. She wasn’t going to be able to hold the tears back.

“Hal is happy. Corbin’s Bend is wonderful. It’s full of spankos, fun for all. It’s fucking awesome!” Susan concluded, bursting into tears.

Quincy said nothing. She reached for a box of tissues and placed it on the table and let Susan cry.

Finally, Susan spoke again. “I wish we’d never come here. I thought he’d stick to it with all these spanking role models. But it’s just the same, except now everyone else has what I want. It’s worse than being alone with my needs.”

“Has Hal stopped spanking?”

“Oh no, he spanks every time he wants sex.”

Quincy said nothing, letting the words hang in the air.

“You know the outside world would view us all as odd balls, Quincy. And now I feel like the odd ball within the group. Most women here would love what I have. I only get spanked for fun or for sex. Who wouldn’t love that?” Susan snapped.

“You,” Quincy answered.

How does this all work out? Grab a copy here and see.

After thirty-five years, Susan thought her marriage was over the morning after their last child's wedding. Hal, her husband, said he needed to talk about something important. She knew it couldn’t be good. They rarely even spoke anymore.

In the beginning they’d been so close, so passionate. Practicing domestic discipline had been a wonderful part of their lives - sometimes. But over the years it had all drifted away, even when Susan asked for what she needed. He would occasionally give her a mild, sexy spanking, but the real discipline she craved was a thing of the past.

Now, Hal suddenly wanted to talk about moving to Colorado to live in Corbin's Bend, a community where spanking was not only accepted, but encouraged. Could this bring back the closeness and passion they’d once had? Could Susan trust that this time Hal would truly step up?
