Blurb:

I’m obsessed with a woman who’s nothing but trouble.

She’s feisty and tempting.
And she doesn’t let anything come in the way of her mission.
I’ve dealt with my fair share of rule-breakers.
So, Delilah isn’t what I need.
But I can’t stop dreaming about having her in my arms.
She might be hiding a secret.
A secret that could destroy me and burn the city to the ground.

There’s only one question that remains.
Is she worth the destruction that she’s about to cause?

Excerpt:

“So, you don’t want dessert, sir?” Delilah’s voice had taken on that soft purr again, and his cock stirred reflexively at the tone.
Dalton leaned toward her. “Oh, I want dessert,” he assured her in a low tone. “In fact, I predict we’ll both be enjoying a bloody big portion.”
Delilah’s eyes widened and she smiled. “Thank God,” she murmured. “I can’t wait.”
He grinned, rising from his chair while she grabbed her purse and shrug. Stepping around the table, she moved toward him.
“How far is to your place, sir?”
Dalton’s arm snaked around her middle, drawing Delilah toward him. “Not far, beautiful. Hold on, I’ll have you there in a few minutes.”
She flicked her bob back with a mischievous smile, and he led her wordlessly out of the Italian restaurant and in the direction of the elevators. The place was the usual thrum of activity for this time of the evening, and numerous people acknowledged him as they wandered past the throng.
“Hey, Dalton!”
He turned at the sound of his name to find Manuel striding toward them. “Hey, man,” Dalton answered, his brow arching at the way his old friend’s gaze so overtly fell over Delilah.
“I was going to ask if you were stopping by the club tonight, but…” Manuel paused, smiling at the pouting expression Delilah was offering him. “It looks like you’re already taken.”
Dalton laughed. “Manuel, this is my friend, Delilah.”
He glanced down at her expectant face, her thoughts confirming how eager she was to know who Manuel was. “And, Delle, this is Manuel.”
Manuel thrust out a large palm in her direction. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Delilah.”
His gaze rose to Dalton, his brow raising as his thoughts confirmed his curiosity. Who’s the hot little redhead, Dalton? You’ve obviously been playing this card very close to your chest.
Dalton bit back on a grin as he guided Delilah in the opposite direction. “Great to see you,” he called back over his shoulder. “Have a good night.”
“Yeah, you too,” Manuel replied. You lucky sod.
“Friend of yours?” Delilah whispered as they entered the elevator.
There was only one other couple at the far end and with a nod, Dalton steered Delilah away from them.
“Yes, he is,” Dalton confirmed.
He was about to illustrate his point by telling Delilah about Manuel’s position within the organization, but he stopped himself. He may really like the woman, but Dalton had to face facts. She wasn’t telling him the truth, so he needed to be careful with the information he made available. Dalton gazed down at Delilah. She was glancing over her shoulder at the other couple, her attention slowly returning to him.
“Are you okay?”
“More than,” she answered with a lascivious grin. “This is the part of the night I’ve been looking forward to the most.”
Dalton smirked. “I noticed,” he murmured. “You’ve been making those bedroom eyes at me all night.”
Delilah nibbled her lower lip, pressing herself up against him. “Guilty, sir,” she said softly. “What’s my punishment?”
His eyes widened at her provocative display, and at that moment, the elevator came to a pause, the chiming bell drawing both of their focus temporarily back to the sliding doors. Dalton pulled Delilah against him while the other couple left, his arm reaching to instruct the elevator to the floor they needed.
“I’m glad you asked,” he brooded, ensuring he had her full attention as the doors slid closed once more. Slowly, he spun Delilah’s body around, pressing her against the cool mirrored interior. “Based on how much you enjoyed your introduction to BDSM yesterday, I thought we could play another game?”
Delilah gulped, her pupils dilating. “Are you trying to frighten me, sir?”
Dalton’s cock roused at her question. “No, Delilah.” His tone was low and even. “Would you like me to?”

Saturday Spanking - HELP!

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! I love having a place to come and give everyone just a taste of what’s in my books. Allie and Jenny are in serious trouble in this snippet from Searching for Home.
Jenny and Allie are being followed by the burglars who had already attacked them both. Caught on a one lane dirt road, they burst into a small run down house in the middle of a field, begging for help.

“Please!” Allie begged. “Lock the door, there are two men after us. They’ll kill us.”
The men were already pulling into the tiny yard. Jenny’s eyes darted around the little house, wondering if they should try to make it to one of the fields and hide there.
The woman, eyes narrowed, picked up a shotgun from a stand near the door and stepped onto the porch with it. The men were already exiting their car and heading toward the house.
“Git,” the old woman told them.
“We don’t want no trouble,” said one of the men, coming to a stop. He still held the foot long pipe he’d used to break Jenny’s window. “But them’s our women. We’re taken ‘em home.”
“I said, git!” the woman repeated and the men looked uncertainly at one another.
Jenny admired the woman’s guts, but was the gun even loaded? She let go of Allie long enough to head to the tiny kitchen. She saw a knife on the counter and grabbed it. Yanking open one of two drawers, she found another and took it back to Allie.
Allie reached for the knife, grasping it in her fist and holding it up near her shoulder, preparing to stab anyone who came near her.
“No,” Jenny hissed. “Hold it down low, so you can stab it up into their gut. Holding it that way, they can block you with their arm.”
Even in her state of panic, Allie looked at Jenny in confusion. How the hell many knife fights had Jenny been in?

Blurb:
When her parents choose a gruff, battle-hardened admiral as her mate and give her no say at all in the matter, twenty-one-year-old Princess Gael does not hesitate to make her displeasure known. Despite her protests, however, her old-fashioned yet undeniably sexy husband-to-be wastes no time in taking her over his knee and baring her bottom for a painful, embarrassing spanking when she defies him during an ancient ceremony intended to celebrate their union.
Fleet Admiral Kai Grenville has no doubt that taming his beautiful, feisty new mate will be a battle, but it is a battle he intends to win. If that means paddling Gael’s beautiful backside bright red with her panties stuffed in her mouth to teach her what happens to sassy mates, then so be it.
Though she does her best to remain indignant about her situation and Kai’s willingness to chastise her as often and as shamefully as he feels it necessary, Gael cannot deny her body’s response to his dominance, and when he claims her the pleasure is more intense than she would have thought possible. But with a plague ravaging their world and Gael’s reckless behavior putting her in danger, can Kai find a way to conquer her heart while also keeping her safe?
This standalone novel has a satisfying ending and can be read as a standalone or as part of the series.

Excerpt :

On the writing desk in Kai’s chamber lay a gift package. Wrapped in pale blue silk and tied with a midnight blue ribbon, it was clearly paddle-shaped. Paddles were a common joining gift in Senne. They were sold in shops along with binding ribbons and other ceremonial keepsakes. Gael knew that some couples treated them as a joke, leaving them in a drawer with pretty garters and other souvenirs. She’d seen some proudly displayed on mantelpieces beside family photos. But she never thought anyone would have the audacity to give her one. She didn’t often use her title and position to avoid unpleasantness, but she would have now if she could.
Kai handed it to her and the weight of it made her catch her breath. It was exactly what she feared. She read the small tag that hung from the midnight blue ribbon. To Princess Gael and Admiral Kai with every good wish for a happy union.
“You may open it,” he said, watching her intensely.
With an enormous effort she forced her demeanor to remain neutral, not wanting the dread surging through her to register on her face. “Who is it from?” she asked, grateful that her hands weren’t shaking as she undid the bow.
“You’ve seen the tag. You know as much as I do. My guess is that it must be from someone close to you, someone who knows how difficult it’s going to be for you to settle into a joined life for four years.” The corners of his mouth lifted in a knowing smile.
Gael stared at his resolute, unreadable face, wondering how she would manage for the duration of their mateship. Four years. That’s how long the vows would bind them. It might as well be forever.
When the silk fell away, she held a long-handled ochre-colored paddle. One side of the round head was decorated with Celtic knots. The other side had the words naughty girl carved into it backwards. She puzzled over it, tracing the letters with her index finger.
“It’s written in reverse so that when it’s properly used, at length and on the same spot, those words will be paddled into your backside.” Kai said coolly.
Gael shoved the package at him, trying to step away.
He caught her by the wrist and his huge hand engulfed hers. Once again, his muscular fingers imprisoned her wrist as effectively as an iron manacle. She was helpless against his superior strength. Worse still, the memory of how those powerful hands had lit her backside on fire and drenched her pussy weakened her at the knees.
“Don’t make your fate any worse that it is already,” he said, his voice soft.
Gael looked around the room, wide-eyed, as if an escape portal might magically appear.
Kai nodded at the paddle. “This is a fine gift. We must use it immediately for good luck.” He sat on the end of the bed, drawing her close to him.

Libby Campbell in her own words:
My romance novels feature strong, self-reliant women and the powerful men who love them. Romantic by nature, I write the stories I want to read: those that feature a spicy power exchange and deliver a sting in the tale.
Canadian by birth, I also lived in Australia for a couple of decades. While living there I overcame my aversion to saucer-sized spiders and, as a condition of marriage to my Aussie Prince Charming, I swore a lifelong allegiance to the Melbourne Football Club.
Then family called and my husband and I packed up and moved. We now live on a rocky island on Canada’s West Coast, close to beaches that once were frequented by smugglers and rumrunners.
My passions are reading and writing. I adore all animals and love hiking, beachcombing, and an occasional night of dancing.

Question and answers with Libby Campbell

This series seems to be darker than anything you’ve written before. Is it a new trend for you?

Yes and no. The series does have more sex and BDSM play but, like all my books, the erotica is underscored by caring relationships that build to great love.
I enjoy tracing the evolution of power-exchange relationships founded on trust, trial and error, love and laugher.

What was your inspiration for Bound to the Admiral?

In 2018 my husband and I toured the Washington and Oregon coasts. I fell in love with the beautiful lighthouses that dot that coastline. They were all so different but symbolized hope and safety to ships at sea.
Plus they kind of reminded me of tiny castles and I love princess stories. Before I knew it, an entire series was shaping in my imagination and demanding to be written.

Does this book have a playlist?

I rarely play music when I’m writing but one song I listened to a lot while writing this book was Rachel D’Arcy’s song Dance for You. I love the line “I won’t dance for anyone, but I will dance for you.” It’s Gael’s song! It’s available here: Amazon.
I also watched a lot of belly dancing by the amazing Cassandra Fox.

What is the best part of writing?

When a reader enjoys a book enough to review it! It says we connected and that’s the greatest satisfaction a writer can have.

What is the hardest part?

Trying to convince my husband that I’m not writing instruction manuals.
I read all my books aloud to him because he is a supportive listener and has an excellent memory for details that are easy to trip over as the narrative grows.
He laughs in all the right places, and tenses in the action scenes, all of which is encouraging in the moments of self-doubt that plague every project.

Saturday Spankings - Alternative to spanking

Happy Saturday! I’m glad you’ve come back for more Saturday Spankings. I’m going to do a few more snippets from Searching for Home and they go to my other books for a while.

As usual the girls all managed to get in trouble together and while doing so,  ruffle Lily’s feathers as well.

Lily noted, without sympathy, that Cassie, Sue and Jenny eased into their chairs at the table, but when she saw Allie seeming to sit with hesitation too, her anger flared again.
“You best not be tellin’ me you got a whippin’ and you with broke ribs!” Lily snapped.
“No,” Allie hastily assured her. “Ryan fussed about us going and not telling him and he said I probably deserved a spanking, but he wasn’t going do any spanking until I was all healed up. But then he, well…” She seemed a bit embarrassed. “He was putting that strong heat cream on my ribs, like he’s been doing every night and he decided it might be a good way to warm my butt without hurting my ribs. Okay, fine. But then he decide it needed another dose this morning. Damn, you can feel that crap for hours!”
The others grimaced in sympathy, all except Lily. She gave out a whoop and then bent double, laughing. “That the best thing I ever heard!” she cackled. “I think all y’alls men should start doin’ that! I don’t have to worry ‘bout y’all gettin’ a whippin’ and you get your butts burn anyway! They all need to do it ever’ mornin’!”
Lily walked back into the kitchen, still laughing. The women ignored her and turned to the fresh baked muffins. They were content that Lily’s good humor was restored.
