Welcome to Saturday Spankings a great blog hop where we try to interest every in out books with only eight (or close) sentences. I hope you’ll enjoy my snippet and everyone else’s contributions. I'm sticking with Cassie’s Ordeal for this one. But the books don’t have to be read in order – try one! Cassie’s River Living is on sale for 99 cent.
Cassie has long pestered Tom about letting her get a face-lift, but Tom is dead set against unnecessary surgery. However, when Cassie has to have a scar on her forehead repaired she really becomes insistent. Although Tom still hates the idea, he’s reluctantly thinking of giving in. Cassie’s thrilled until he adds something that shakes her to her core – if she’s getting a face-lift, so is he.
I stared at him for a moment - he seemed completely serious, and I exploded, “Are you out of your mind? You are not getting a face-lift, not now not ever. I was furious.
Tom seemed dumbfounded by my anger. “Cassie, you just said what time does to a face – it’s been marching across mine, too.”
“Stop it, stop it!” I was shouting at him, I was furious. “Your face is perfect!”
“Girl, I have lines and—”
“Time didn’t put them there! I did! That’s my face. You don’t even look in a mirror most days. I’m the one who see it, it’s mine and you leave it alone.” My voice was getting shrill and I was seriously ready to take a swing at him.

Blurb for Cassie’s Ordeal - book 7
Cassie loves her life on the river with Tom and her friends. She feels Tom has her wrapped in a safe and protected cocoon of love. But her world is jarred when the phone calls begin. Cassie hesitates to tell Tom about them knowing he’ll over react and she will be the one under ‘house arrest’. But when the calls go from annoying to frightening she has no choice. Tom brings in the police to find out who is behind the harassment and make plans to keep Cassie safe, but he’s too late – Cassie is gone without a trace.
The police began an all out search, but there are few clues to go on. Will life on the river ever be the same again?
The Cassie books don’t have to be read in order, so jump in with this one. But if you like to read in order the first four can now be found in the Cassie Box Set. It’s a great deal.
