Saturday Spankings - Withholding maybe

I’m so glad you’re here for another Saturday Spankings! I’ve really been looking forward to November! Cassie Life is scheduled for release on November 16 (or more likely on Amazon on the 17th). If you haven't seen the new cover yet, look below. It's my favorite. I’m starting with snippets from this new book today and I hope you’ll be ready for more when the book is out.
In today’s snippet, Cassie and all the girls – Sue, Annie, Allie, Jenny and even Lily have been on an adventure.  An adventure that Lily would like to keep private.

Lily began, “You listen to me now – don’t you all be telling your husbands where we went this afternoon. I don’t want them knowing I saw such mess. I should have stopped y’all too.”
“Now Lily, you wouldn’t want me to lie to Tom, would you?” I asked with a grin.
“Not telling ain’t lying – it’s different,” Lily said with conviction.
“Please tell Tom that! I’ve been trying to convince him of that for years. He calls it lying by…”
“Omission,” finished Tom from the bedroom doorway as all our heads snapped his way.
“Where did you come from?” I asked in confusion, “and where’s your car?”
“It’s at Ryan’s, he’s looking into a noise it’s making. Now exactly what have you ladies been up to this afternoon that even Lily’s trying to hide from me?”
I haven’t always been able to tell when Lily’s blushing, but even I could tell her face was darkening. “I… I… I got to go home,” she finally stammered and she was out the door and gone.

Cassie’s Life (Book 10)
Ask Cassie about her life on the river and she’ll tell you it’s lovely and peaceful. But while Cassie loves the life she lives, peaceful is not always an accurate description. Whether she’s confronting an armed man who’s in a drunken rage, planning a friend’s wedding or dealing with a ghost in a backwoods lodge, Cassie is going to deal with it the best way she knows how. And peaceful doesn’t always work.
When a mysterious phone call comes for Cassandra Wentworth – Cassie’s past is suddenly back to haunt her in a devastating way. Tom has always said nothing from before the time they met counts, but he didn’t know about this.  Sue, Annie, Allie and Jenny are all willing to help, but will it be enough?

    1. That's one thing about Cassie, she can always come up with a 'why it's not my fault' story.
