Welcome back to Saturday Spankings. I’m taking a snippet from my third book, Cassie on the Move. The renovations on the river house are complete and Cassie and Tom are spending the Christmas holiday there. Cassie is most happy to be getting to know the neighbor children and persuades them to let her join them in a game of paintball. Cassie’s a good shot, and she was doing well until…
I felt I was holding my own however, until I tried to dash to a better hiding spot and got shot in the back of the thigh. My goodness that stung! If Tom knew it stung that badly he might buy a paintball gun of his own and practice disciplining me from a distance! Being shot caused me to lose my balance and I fell against a tree, scraping my arm. I wasn’t really hurt, but it put an end to the game because seeing me fall scared the children, and Kate who was watching.
“I’m just fine,” I called out as everyone came running. Allie and Kate got me to my feet and we headed in for a little first aid. But I couldn’t go until I thanked the boys. “That was so much fun. Thank you all so much for letting me play.” The boys grinned, shaking their heads, and continued the game without Allie or me.
Kate washed off the blood and dirt from my arm and bandaged it for me.
“Now listen to me, both of you. I don’t want Tom to know I was playing with the paintball guns. If he finds out he’ll tease me unmercifully.” I didn’t mention what else he might do. “I just tripped and scraped my arm on a tree, which is the absolute truth.” Kate and Allie seemed amused and promised to keep my secret.
I stayed to visit and get to know everyone better. I do like the family. Tom and Chris arrived home in what is known in golfers’ time, as dark-thirty. The moment Tom stepped from the car, he spotted the bandage. “What happened?” he wanted to know.
Laughing, I told him, “I was attacked by a bear in the woods. Come on home and I’ll tell you all about it.”
At home, I told him it was just a little scrape I’d gotten while exploring with the children. Tom must have had a great game. He didn’t press further and was in a happy mood as we ate and settled in for a movie.
All was peaceful until we were getting ready for bed. We had all concentrated so much on my arm, because there was a little blood, that I hadn’t realized that there was a huge bruise on the back of my leg.
“Cassie Jane,” Tom said sharply as I was undressing for bed. “What in the world caused that?”
“What?” I asked, startled. The bruise wasn’t in a spot easy for me to see.
“Your leg.” He quickly had me over his lap to closely inspect the bruise. What a horrible starting position for the conversation.
“Umm… that must have happened when I fell,” I hedged.
He swatted my bottom hard. “Try again,” he insisted.
Evidently, paint ball bruises are quite distinctive. I had to come clean, but only because I couldn’t think of any other explanation.
Tom wasn’t happy. “Girl, the neighbors are going to think you’re a wild woman. Didn’t I tell you the other day when we were watching Drew to stay away from those things?”
Did he? Good grief, how could I possibly remember everything he told me not to do? Sadly, I was foolish enough to say that out loud. I do know better. Evidently, Tom thought I was being a little too sassy, and he used his slipper to make his point. He proceeded to drive the following points home with some hard swats.
“You had better act like a lady around those children. You’re a grown up, Cassie. I expect you to act like it. I don’t want you playing with those things and getting yourself hurt again.”
“Okay, okay, now let me up,” I told him firmly.
My only warning of what was coming was a tightening of his grip before he was spanking nearly as hard as he could for about ten licks with that hateful slipper.
“Tom! Dam…” I tried to cut off my cursing mid-word. “What was that for?”
“That was for lying to me about how this happened. You know better. I won’t have that.”
I waited until he let me up before saying anything. “I told you I fell in the woods. Do you always have to know every little detail?” I was rubbing for all I was worth as Tom gave me a squinty-eyed stare.
“Do I need to explain my definition of lying again? I believe this slipper can make it quite clear.”
“No, no, I’ve got it. Step away from the slipper and no one gets hurt,” I told him.
Tom laughed. “I was hoping the river might be different for some reason. But the minute you’re out of my sight you’re right back into mischief. What am I going to do with you?”
“You could start by rubbing my sore places and making them all better,” I suggested with a grin. Sweet Tom, even when he’s a bit annoyed with me, he’s pretty good at taking suggestions.
Cassie it truly on the move now. A new home on the river brings excitement – a new house, new neighbors and new adventures. She learns to shoot paint-ball guns and play at water parks with the children of the neighborhood.
Cassie’s traveling too. She’s taking trips with just the girls, attending conventions for Tom’s work and vacationing with Tom and their friends. But when Cassie begins having dizzy spells Tom thinks a slower pace is in order. Getting Cassie to slow down and take care of herself proves to be quite a challenge. A challenge Tom is more than determined to take on.
Cassie’s Space series
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
These books do take you through time as it passes, but please don’t think you have to read them in order. Start anywhere. Just grab one and give it a try. If you are a spanking
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.
Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.
And, of course, the links -
Love this snippet PK "how can I remember everything he tells me not to do" lol. The way they interact is priceless:)

You know I really love this couple.
Delete"Do I need to explain my definition of lying again?" Loved it!
ReplyDeleteTaming Cassie is a lifelong affair.
Glad you realize that. And Tom loves every minute of it.
DeleteLoved the ending! And Cassie should definitely know by now that lying would get her over Tom's lap faster than she could blink. I still laughed.
ReplyDeleteShe does know, but sometimes just can't help trying to sneak by at times.
