Saturday Spankings - Lily helps

Welcome back to Saturday Spankings. In last week’s snippet from Suspicions on the River, everyone on The Landing was searching for Cassie and her grandson. Once they were found alive and well Tom was angry that she had worried everyone so badly.

Tom took Cassie by the arm, leading her to their bathroom where he began undressing her, not particularly gently.

“Tom, honey, I’m sorry. I didn’t think we’d be gone more than a few minutes. Don’t be mad. I know, I know I should have taken my cell if I was leaving The Landing but I didn’t think we were leaving. We were just going to be in the yard.

“Tom, I didn’t do anything really wrong,” she insisted. Well, except for not taking the phone, and not telling anyone we were leaving, and staying gone a little longer than we should have and scaring everyone so badly…Oh my! This is not going to end well for me, she thought.

She waited a few moments. When he still remained silent, she pleaded, “Tom, please say something!”

With all her muddy clothing now on the floor, he gave one extremely sharp pop to her right butt cheek. “Get cleaned up!” he ordered.  He then picked up her clothes and carried them out to Lily.

“Where do you want these?” Tom asked, as he went into the kitchen.

“Put’em in that wire basket in the laundry room,” Lily answered him. “She alright?”

“She might not be when I get through with her,” Tom said grimly.

“Mr. Tom,” Lily said soothingly, “she just lost track of time playin’. You know she didn’t mean to worry us all like that.”

“She didn’t tell anyone where they were going and she didn’t take her phone. She knows better!”

“You right,” Lily agreed. “But when you fussin’ at her, think ‘bout the minute you saw that she was alright more’n ‘bout how scared you was.”

Tom looked at Lily solemnly. “You’re right Lily. I guess I need a good mix of both.”

Lily nodded as Tom went back to the bedroom. That was as good as she could hope for.

Suspicions on the river (a Cassie’s family story)

Book three in the On the River series

Cal and Jenny have a nearly idyllic marriage. There are rare trips across his lap for minor problems, but most of those trips are just for fun. Could that be changing? Pat, Cal’s former lover, has moved back to town and she wouldn’t mind giving it another try with Cal. She feels he can’t be serious about this little twit that he married so quickly. Pat feels that once Cal realizes she offers him a better option, he’ll choose her. But soon mysterious things begin happening to Pat. Is someone trying to run her out of town? Could that someone be Jenny?

Cassie and the whole river family try to keep Jenny occupied and out of trouble, but suspicions just go from bad to worse. Both Jenny and Pat want Cal and they’re willing to fight for him. How dirty will this fight get?

  1. Good to hear all was well with Cassie and the baby. Good advice from Lily, though I'm not sure it's going to ultimately make a lot of difference for Cassie's butt lol

    1. You know Tom will be Tom... but he does listen to Lily.

  2. I agree with Roz, as usual. Lily made some good points, but so did Tom. Even though Cassie didn't expect they'd leave the landing, nor be gone as long as she was, it was irresponsible for her not to take her phone or at least tell someone what she was about to do. I still don't understand where all the mud came from. Was she just playing or did they fall into a muddy pool? Guess I need to read the book to find out. Great snippet, PK.

    1. LOL! Of course you need to read the book! Cassie doesn't mean to be irresponsible, she just doesn't think at times.
