Saturday Spanking - Spanking from the past

Welcome to Saturday Spanking once again. I’m happy to say that my publisher has accepted the second book in the On the River Series. I’ll be telling you much more about that soon. Today’s snippet is from Searching for Home.

 

Jenny, Allie and Lane took off for a short girls’ trip and began a conversation with Lane telling of her history of being spanked as a child – although she remembered the occasional round with a switch or wooden spoon from her mom, there were two times her father had stepped in. She tells about one of those times.

 

He used the paddle and it hurt like hell. But I swear, knowing how disappointed they were, hurt nearly as bad.”

“Damn, they were strict,” Allie commiserated. 

“Oh, that wasn’t all! We never had any extra money, so I was saving to go with the church youth group to The Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte that summer. The church made a donation, but it was fifteen dollars per person to go and I’d saved about twelve so far. But Mama went with me to the drugstore the next day to return the lipstick and I had to pay for it anyway. It shot such a hole in my savings that I didn’t go to Carowinds that summer.”

“Lane, that’s awful!” Allie cried. She could not relate to not being able to have her parents give her fifteen dollars for something she really wanted to do. She’d already been punished. Allie felt her parents should have tried to come up with the money for her.

“What’s awful about it? I was the one who stole something and I knew it was dead wrong. I had to return it, even though they couldn’t resell it and I had to pay for it. That was to square me with the law and the store. The whippin’ got it off my conscience and wiped the slate clean at home. At the time, I thought I got off light since they didn’t tell my brother, the new deputy, what I’d done.”

Jenny laughed, “Okay, you did get off easy!”

Allie looked uncomfortable for a minute, then finally asked, “You didn’t get spanked on the bare butt, did you?”

“No, never. That never happened to any of us kids. Now, the few times Daddy took Mama to the woodshed – I don’t know. I guess that’s between them.”

“Geez, your whole family’s spank happy,” Jenny groused. “I sure see where Cal got it.”

“Maybe,” Lane said, “but look at how everybody turned out. My brothers are great, and I’m perfect, of course. It’s just the twins that are such little bitches and they rarely got spanked. So I’d say it did the rest of us some good.”
