R is for research

Scientist research so many things now, why are we ignored? I certainly grew up thinking/assuming that anyone who wanted to be spanked was strange. Why on earth would anyone want to be hit? I can understand that some people with extremely low self esteem would feel they needed to be ‘punished’. But if you look around blogland this is not who you are seeing.

Nearly everyone I’ve met here I would consider a strong, competent, confident woman (mostly women, thought I’ve met some lovely men too). They either love spanking for the stress relief, or for erotic reasons or the physical sensation of it. Those who are in a DD relationship are not ruled over and intimidated. In 99% of the cases I know about this type of relationship was instigated by the women.  They all knew they could take care of themselves and probably most the people they know. They have thought about this, they have read and made an informed decision to, not only voluntarily give up some control, but also agreed to be spanked if their partner decides to do so.

We love this and it seems so easily understood in our minds – yet there are still so many people who think we’re crazy. I wish we had scientific proof that we could point to and say “See for people wired like us, it can be wonderful!” But I think we’ll wait in vain. Even the talk shows won’t touch us without making fun of us.

Anyone out there willing to start their own talk show – I’ll be glad to be a guest.

    1. Me too Roz, but if spanking is ever mentioned outside of our community you would think our men are cruel abusers.

  3. There are a lot of crazies in the world but I don't think I'm one of them and I know there aren't any of them in our community (okay maybe one or two)
