Saturday Spankings - Who will win the war?

Welcome back to Saturday Spankings. I have a snippet today from Suspicions on the River. Cassie and the girls have taken a trip to the beach and the younger women have Cassie telling another story from her past.

This story was about a convention she and Tom attended. Cassie had make Tom angry by leaving the room several times without telling him where she was going. After spanking her twice for the same things, he lays down the law and tells her she can’t leave the room the next day until his meeting are over and he comes back to the room. Cassie is furious. She goes over plan after plan of how to sneak out for a short time – just to make a stand for independence, but to still do it behind Tom’s back. She took her shower, muttering and cussing, as Tom got ready to head to his meetings, again reminding her to stay put.

“But when I got out of the shower, I was surprised to find only two small hand towels. They barely dried me and I headed to the phone to call housekeeping. As soon as I opened the bathroom door I knew something was wrong. The bed had been stripped. At the foot of the bed were several more small towels and a note that read,

‘I felt you needed some encouragement to do as I said. Perhaps this will help.
Tom’

“I couldn’t figure out what was he talking about. I looked for my robe, but it wasn’t on the chair. When I opened the closet door realization finally dawned on me. Everything was gone, my clothes, Tom’s clothes, everything. There was not one thing for me to put on. The bed was stripped and I didn’t even have a towel that would go around me. I was a naked captive!”

All three girls howled with laughter as Allie added, “Tom is the smartest man in the world! He does know how to make you behave.”

“I wasn’t so impressed,” Cassie told them. “I was thinking, Oh no, he is not doing this to me! I marched to the phone to call housekeeping only to stare at it stupidly. The receiver was in my hand but the cord connecting it to the phone was gone. Truly that sneaky, brilliant devil had thought of everything. There was no possible way for me to leave the room. I went into the small living room. There was a room service cart – the normal tablecloth was missing and it was sitting there with several covered trays. I was still simply dumbfounded. Lifting one covered dish, I found delicious looking pastries and another note from Tom. If I remember correctly it said something like,

‘As you sit today, planning my demise, I’ll be thinking of my lovely, totally nude wife waiting for my return. Our morning was amazing and I hope we will end our day the same way. You have had to care for yourself for so long. I know it’s hard for you to let go, but I’ll keep you safe and loved if you’ll just relax and let me. I’ve told Sue you wanted the day to yourself. She doesn’t believe me and will surely come looking for your body at some point. I’m hoping you'll go along with what I’ve told her.

Tom’

“Now back then I had a temper you wouldn’t believe. But the longer I’d been married to Tom the shorter the length of time I could hold on to it. I was mad, how dare he leave me like that. But the longer I thought about it the more ridiculous the situation seemed. I had to laugh. Score one for Tom, his devious mind had won this battle. The winner of the war was still undecided – actually, it still is, but that battle was his."

Suspicions on the river (a Cassie’s family story)

Book three in the On the River series

Cal and Jenny have a nearly idyllic marriage. There are rare trips across his lap for minor problems, but most of those trips are just for fun. Could that be changing? Pat, Cal’s former lover, has moved back to town and she wouldn’t mind giving it another try with Cal. She feels he can’t be serious about this little twit that he married so quickly. Pat feels that once Cal realizes she offers him a better option, he’ll choose her. But soon mysterious things begin happening to Pat. Is someone trying to run her out of town? Could that someone be Jenny?

Cassie and the whole river family try to keep Jenny occupied and out of trouble, but suspicions just go from bad to worse. Both Jenny and Pat want Cal and they’re willing to fight for him. How dirty will this fight get?

  1. Love this! Tom certainly was thorough by even taking the phone cord, but that also left Cassie more than a little vulnerable. What if something happened like a fire drill? I have been caught in those at hotels. Even got stuck in an elevator with an agent at a RWA conference in the middle of July in Florida. Talk about hot. Anyway, as much as I admire Tom for his inventiveness, I'd be happier if I learned he also had Cassie covered for extenuating circumstances. Great snippet, though!

    1. Tom would have walked through fire to save her I'm sure. But remember, the room was not locked. In an emergency I have no doubt she would have gone out stark naked and found a cleaning cart with some towels or just kept going until someone gave her something to wear. Cassie is a survivor!

  2. LoL PK, love this! Very clever and thorough of Tom. He knows Cassie so well. No doubt she would otherwise have snuck out

  3. That is exactly what she was planning! Tom probably saved her from a serious spanking!
